This hotel is more like a 3 star than a 5 star. Unfortunately, we wouldn't be staying here again. Positives first: Super central and street parking for 15Chf/day. All the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Luca who dealt with our room issue swiftly and with a smile on his face. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff were very attentive. Beds were super comfortable and they had great pillows. Negatives: The first room we got was small (the WC and bathroom were really cramped) and dated - but the real issue was that we could hear the people talking in both rooms either side of us and from across the hall. At one stage a door opened and I was 100% sure it was our bedroom door. We complained and Luca swiftly reassigned rooms and it was better (space wise also - but again very dated). We were woken nice and early (New Year's Day) with a lot of noise (banging and smashing and loud talking) on our floor.

We stayed here in for one night in the middle of our 8-day family tour of Switzerland. I would characterize it as a good example of Swiss efficiency and hospitality. Location is outstanding as it is pretty much a 5 min walk from train station and the old town. Rooms are elegant, modern, clean, and nice. It's almost an oxymoron to call it a no-frills luxury hotel. Like others have said, the stylish and well decorated lounge just has coffee. Not sure what it's there for. No complimentary beverages offered in the room, not even bottled water. Service was very Swiss. Polite and to the point. So nothing to complain about, but really nothing special as well, which was unfortunate considering the price we paid.

Tourist class hotel. Good service. Tiny rooms. Adequate. Close to but not on river/ main old city area as implied by website photos. I think they cater to cruise stops which explains a lot.

It's located very near to the Lucern train station. Service so far - all the people that we conversed with were very nice and professional. Special mention, Alexis, in the restaurant where breakfast is served, was top notch and very helpful. Rooms are a little small compared to what we get in North America, but no complaints. The room was comfortable and functional. They did lack the USB capability to charge phones and only Swiss type outlets. But a call to front desk and we were gladly provided 2 Swiss to NA adaptors.

DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL Possibly the WORST Marriott brand hotel I’ve stayed in so far. The room layout was below par. The bathroom was small and congested. But that is normal in a lot of hotels across Europe so I ignored that. What bothered me the most was the room service staff that was so noisy early in the morning that it was almost impossible for me to sleep and on top of that a staff member decided to enter into my room without knocking while I was still there and it was not even past the checkout time. The only good thing about this hotel is it’s location.
