Loved our stay. The breakfast was awesome and the room was much larger than expected and super comfy. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Location is perfect for public commute. Path train station is about a 2 minute walk. Will gladly stay here again next time we're in NYC. Highly recommend.

The rooms are nice and breakfast was good but parking is not available so you have to valet your car. Well it takes 30 min for the valet to get your car. The lobby needs new furniture and the place is kinda dirty. The beds are great but found some little black things inside one of the cabinets. My room had a small kitchen and couch. One tv that swings and turns. Traffic to get to the hotel is tough and there are cars double parked waiting for the valet to park them. Not the worse stay but not the best.

I just returned from my second stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott Jersey City. On both occasions, the staff, service and rooms have been excellent. John, the General Manager, is cordial and professional, and he goes out of his way to address any guest concerns promptly. In addition, Kim, the bartender, is a true asset to the hotel. She is friendly and outgoing, and she has a wealth of knowledge about the local area. The hotel is located in downtown Jersey City, and the Path transit station is next door. This makes it extremely convenient for trips into NYC or other areas. I look forward to my next stay at the Jersey City Residence Inn.

We recently had a wedding block at the Residence Inn Jersey City for my wedding. From the very beginning I was so impressed with their responsiveness, flexibility, and patience. Rebecca reached out within hours of me submitting a request for information compared to other hotels which either took weeks to respond or didn’t respond at all. Rebecca called me and walked me through the entire process and helped me consider things I hadn’t thought of. Rebecca was so accommodating with the many changes we made to number of rooms and space needs for a rehearsal and after party. When we were at the hotel for the wedding weekend, the entire team was incredible! John and another team member were outside waiting with carts when we pulled up to the hotel and helped us unload our car. They checked in every time we saw anyone from the team to ensure we had what we needed and were so quick to accommodate any of our random requests. The rooms were so clean and spacious. The bridal suite had a beautiful balcony and was perfect for getting ready the morning of the wedding! Their bar, Bar 80, was perfect for our welcome drinks and after party too. The bartenders were so nice and personable; our guests had a great time. The complimentary breakfast was also really good and the hotel location is great - so close to a ton of bars and restaurants, the water, and the PATH train. I will absolutely be staying at this hotel any time I’m in the area.

Location is cool, it’s easy to get to everything and the freeway. THERE IS NO POOL! Also, THERE IS NOOOO PARKING! You pretty much have to park in a parking garage within the building that’s $30 a day If not more (depending on how many times you leave). I feel a brand new Marriott could have thought about parking or at least a discount for their customers. Breakfast ends at like 9:30 am most mornings (McDonald’s serves breakfast longer 🙄). They serve sausage, waffle machine, onions/peppers mix, yogurt- it honestly was not enough. The room was small - welcome to New Jersey, I guess! I was underwhelmed with my stay. Also there HAD to be a shortage on face towels because they literally were not putting them in the rooms. You had to request them daily and the staff always had a attitude like it was their absolute last. You can walk to food spots and liquor stores nearby. There also is a Market there a few days a week.
