This was my third time using the hotel, and it was in the middle of the Gion Festival season. Although I was traveling to Kyoto from quite far away, the atmosphere was very cozy and felt like I was visiting a relative's house. It became a good memory of my trip.

I used it for a cherry blossom viewing trip in Kyoto. You can stay at a historical inn at a reasonable price. The courteous customer service is wonderful. Baths and toilets are shared, but they are clean and there is no problem. You may be able to hear voices from the next room, so if you are sensitive, you should refrain from using the room. There is a convenience store nearby, and the station and Heian Shrine are within walking distance, which was convenient. I want to use it again.

As of January 6, 2020, I have used it 4 times. This is a small inn located east of the Kamogawa River in Kyoto, a 5-minute walk from Jingu Marutamachi Station on the Keihan Line (between Marutamachi Kawabata and Marutamachi Higashioji). It seems like the family is accepting as many customers as they can. It's a facility that makes you feel at home and very warm. The sincere attitude of this facility can be seen from the fact that guests are addressed by name in various situations during their stay. 3 out of 4 times The room I was given was a Japanese-style room with a carpet on the tatami floor. A TV and dressing table were placed in a small alcove. I was surprised that it even had a small kitchen. The lighting is a ceiling light that can be adjusted in stages, so you can rest in peace at night. Television is only terrestrial digital. There is a kotatsu in the winter. It's also nice to relax and watch TV while drinking tea or coffee. The bath is a household one, and students take turns using it. Therefore, you may have to wait during busy times. When you are waiting, you will be notified when it is your turn to enter your room, so you can rest assured. Washrooms and toilets are also shared. There are also shared refrigerators with freezers. You don't have to worry about buying drinks outside. There is no convenience store nearby, so if you are coming from Jingu Marutamachi Station, the closest one is the 7-Eleven on Kawabata Street on the north side of the station. There is also a washing machine with detergent and a dryer available for a fee. Every part of the room is kept clean, so you can spend your time with peace of mind. The rooms are separated by simple sliding doors, but they are locked so you can feel safe. If you are familiar with Showa era inns in front of the station or hot spring inns in the hot springs area, you can use them without any hesitation. The baths are equipped with children's toys and the toilets are equipped with children's toilet seats, making it a child-friendly facility that even women can use with peace of mind.
