Scheppers Hotel

Not worth the money you would pay. This is a terrible hotel located far away from the center of the city. The hotel doesn't have any basic necessities such as hair conditioner, iron, iron boards or a safe and the hosts claim that this is normal as their tourists break them and the owners refuse to replace them. The toilets are dirty. The wifi is spotty at best. Their personnel dont speak English. The included breakfast is only pastries and bread not accommodating for any dietary restrictions. Moreover if you are adopting a fasting style like intermittent fasting, you are not allowed to take outside of the dining area despite putting them in your plate (having touched them) which makes it unsuitable for consumption by anyone else (i.e. the only thing they can do is throw it away).

PLEASE STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE! This "hotel"( more like motel) is WAY outside the city. Just to start off. I would like to point out that the staff was nice, understanding, and helpful. Checking in was fine. We arrived checked in and were given our room card. Which is a code you enter into the door keypad. Now the bad...the room was not cleaned, it was severely damaged and clearly this was not a concern of the facility. Everything was degraded and falling apart. The TV was mounted to plywood bolted to the wall. Every wall was damaged and some of it patched..ish... The TV did not work, the AC did not work, the bathroom (wash closet) barely worked. We endured through the night. We then detailed this to the front desk the next day. We were told "you should look at what you booking next time" so that should give you you Eni for about how this establishment works... However, after listening to our complaints they showed my wife a new room and we accepted. However, when I went into the room I saw no difference. My only "positive" was that the TV worked in this room. All in all this establishment is "rated" as a 3 start hotel. It is a 1 star at best. So if your okay with NO amenities, restaurants, or anything around you plus you want to be away from everyone and everything this might be your place. But for anyone visiting go somewhere else. Taxi rides into city center is min 25 euros. So going to and from town is min 50 euros.This hotel is not for visitors wanting to see the city, have the ability to walk and explore, or easily go to a restaurant expect frustration and a 15 euro min taxi ride to get food, site see or do anything. In summary if your expecting a 3 star hotel your going to be disappointed. Book something else. Oh and btw, I'm not 100% sure because I didn't see bed bugs but when I woke up the first day I was covered in red itchy bumps just like bed bug bites. So do your research and book something better. I booked a new room at the Best Western (president) hotel. This was an amazing upgrade. Highly recommend. Make your own decision. But you've been warned. Oh and this establishment could not do anything about our reservation so this "stay" of one night which was supposed to be 4 nights cost me $700 and they did nothing to help. So I booked another room just to get out. It is what it is as they say....
