I am very conflicted about writing this review because up until our last day in Cancun, the hotel hospitality was great. We informed the hotel manager that we wanted to have a late checkout, checking out at 1PM instead of noon. The hotel manager confirmed that we could and thereafter, we could leave our luggage with reception to go explore after checking out. The last day comes and things went south. We received a phone call from reception that we needed to check out immediately, even though we told her what the manager told us. This apparently happened because there was a miscommunication between the manager and the receptionist for the day. My husband asked the receptionist to call the manager, but she didn't (at least not while standing in front of us) then my husband and the receptionist got into a back and forth argument. My husband could have handled it much better, and did not do a great job of keeping his cool, however the receptionist did not have an initial hospitality and could have made one phone call to clear everything up instead of demanding that we get out the room. We left early when though the manager did eventually call and told us that we could stay. That left a bad taste in our mouths. It was unfortunate because the suites are clean, the pool is clean, it's quiet, but still close to the main the main road, Kukulcan. If not for that interaction, the stay would have been perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sina Suites. I'd recommend this place highly if you'd prefer something a little more homely than the larger resorts. Ramiro and his team are incredibly kind and great at their jobs and made dining at the outdoor restaurant a real treat. We also loved the tranquil view of the lagoon and did a lot of wildlife watching (shout out to Pepe!). Our apartment was much more spacious than we anticipated and we felt like we got excellent value for money. The location is very good, you can easily walk to the restaurants and clubs and there are supermarkets, pharmacy's and barbers nearby. Every excursion we booked either picked up from the hotel or picked us up on the main road about a 10 minute walk away. All in all, Sina Suites is a great place to stay.

Nice hotel in a very quiet and residential area with a nice view of the laguna. Room was pretty nice size and with a view of a pool. Bed huge and we had a good sleep. Basic menu for breakfast and dinner snack, only tried once as we mostly had our meals outside. We walked to the public beach and taking the bus that stops few minutes from the hotel. Hotel area nicely decorated and cleaned each morning. Would be back.
