We stayed here as a family for 5 days between Christmas and the New Year. We hired three rooms and all were really great. The only thing, I wish the lights in the rooms were brighter - and that’s the only thing I can think of ! Breakfast was lovely, and the staff really friendly, like all Icelandic people 🇮🇸 thankyou for our stay 🇬🇧 We were 3 minute walk from the pick up / drop off point for excursions and the airport bus. Which is a good thing, as we didn’t have to put up with all the people waiting for their buses outside our hotel doors ! Pic is from a 30 second walk from the hotel !!

The hotel is conveniently located. Our first night here was perfect, we were on the non street side and the room was warm and comfy. When we returned from the tour, we were given a street side which had traffic noise in the morning and it was harder to get the room warm. The maid service was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast each morning had a good variety (fruits, cereals, hard boiled eggs, and waffles). They had cold meats, toast, and oatmeal too. Very nice place to stay.

I would chose to stay at this lovely hotel again if I ever get a chance to visit Reykjavík and Iceland again. The staff are all friendly and helpful. It's perfectly located with bus stop 9 where most of the tours pick up from just round the corner. Most of the main places to see in Reykjavik are within a 5 to 30 minute walk, along with plenty of good places to eat close by. It is on a road that does get busy at times, but inside I didn't hear any noise from the traffic. (Just watch out for electric scooters travelling on the pavement! !) We stayed in a standard double room although the room wasn't a very big room and simply decorated, it was more than adequate for our 4 night stay. It was exceptionally clean with a decent shower and the bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in. (I wish I could have brought it home with me.) The continental breakfast has a massive selection to chose from. I have a allergy to wheat and gluten but the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the food advailble and were able to tell me what I was able to eat so I didn't go hungry at breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Reykjavík.

A pretty good hotel. Convenient central location near Laugavegur. Rooms are pretty small. Breakfast buffet had a good variety and the food tasted good. The big deal breaker was the toilet paper roll holders in the bathroom! They were just simple bars that the roll rested on, with nothing actually holding the roll in place. Thus, the roll got elbowed to the ground by everyone in our group, every time the bathroom was used. An insanely annoying issue that has an incredibly simple fix!
