First of all, I have to say that this place is not a bad hostel at all overall as it is a hostel that is affordable yet still there is some reasons why I have to low down the stars to 3 instead of 4 or 5 (Pros) Staffs They're useful and friendly (except for one who talk to me on Booking) but I think they should work on communicating with their team before confusing the customers, not cool at all. Location ⚡️ I admit this place is quite affordable compare to the fact that this place is located and surrounded by malls, shops, food, etc quite centric in Causeway Bay I would say. The hostel ⚡️ I must say I am impressed by little small details they put in the place. Not the most fancy one but good value. Secure and safe. No front desk but it's not such bug problems. • Bed — It's super comfy, they give you two pillows that are super nice. I had such night sleep during my 7 days stay here • Bathroom and shower — Not much privacy but it's well organized and it just worked in such small space. And it's cleaned! • Cleanliness — they have housekeeper coming in everyday and did such a great job to keep the place neat and clean, kudos and all the credit to the housekeeper as well. ------------- Reasons why I gave out 3 stars (cons) So I booked this place on Booking like 2-3 weeks before my departure/stay dates. I even checked in in advance as the staff suggested after my booking was confirmed. I even got addressed in someone else's name at this point but I will skip this infos since it's already fixed. I booked for 6 nights, suppose to leave on 5th but then I got the message from the staff when it's near my stay dates saying that on my last night I might have to stay in another branch of Sleeep. Back then I didn't think so much and I accepted it since it's only one night. And after that I never heard anything again until I arrived, first they signed up the wrong bed, I talked to them and asked about the last night of my stay if I could stay here instead of moving since I don't wanna start over with checking in and such. The staff notice and agree that I could stay until the end. But then after staying for awhile, got another message from Booking again saying that they don't have enough bed on my last night stay, asking if I could stay somewhere else (not cool) when I already talked about this when I got here and another staff said it's fine I could stay. I talked to them again and they told me to ignore the message. Point of this is, they got me stressed and upset with all these miscommunications and bad organizing on their end. The staffs I talked to (that is not on Booking) are nice but also these actions as a whole are not really comforting. Definitely something they should improve.

Hello. I booked a month of staying here at the sleeper. First of all, the sleeper I slept in first night had a booger on the wall of the bed. As I swept my hand on the wall, a little piece of something yellow came off and when I check it on my bed, It looks like a booger. Second of all, after coming back at 12 at night after work, I found that I was unable to open to the front doors of the building as the guard has previously instructed me to press the bottom to call the owner of the flat to open the door. It worked a couple of times, but this time it didn’t work this time. It left me needing to instruct a friend to call on the hostel phone for 30 times as I haven’t paid for cell service and waited at a Mcdomalds for two hours until the guard opened the door for me. The only good things is that they refunded a night stay at the hostel. Thirdly, this place has a broken air conditioner that was never fixed three quarters of my time staying here. The only air conditioner that worked didn’t really provide any cool to the beds and mostly for the common area. Furthermore, the common area has recently started to smell like dead pungent fish. It’s truely unbearable with the heat, as it’s literally 30 degrees Celsius and only one air conditioner barely works. It feels like sauna and at worse it’s literally suffocating to be here. How am I supposed to have a good sleeping experience as the website wrote if basic ventilation is an issues. Furthermore, they’ve ran out of towels and left me stinking through the night. Last but not least, i don’t really think the staff are willing to fix these issues as some staff have been rude to me after my valid complaints. Extremely dismissive about the fact I had no idea where. I was gonna go stuck outside at 3 am, and showing no remorse for lack of service. Also not keeping up to promises after telling me air conditioner will be fixed the next day, for me to find out nothing has been improve and to tell me that they already “filed a complaint” and it’s up to the other staff the deal with it. No apologise, just a “we warned you about the air conditioner ”, which I was previously informed would be sufficient and not suffocating. Please fix these issues Regards, Arya

A nightmare experience. Having stayed in many hotels and many youth hostels, this is the first time I have encountered one with no front desk at all. The place is pretty easy to find but you need to call the doorbell as it is actually a converted home in the building. But when you get to the door you have to scan your own code and fill out a form and wait for an email before you can open the door. My phone was almost dead when I arrived and I used the last bit of battery to fill out the form but didn't receive an email within the three minutes indicated. In fact I waited almost ten minutes until I finally turned off my phone and sent a help email without receiving it. So I had to go out and try to find a place to eat to recharge my batteries, first I went to Jolibee and reassured myself that the delicious fried chicken wasn't too bad for a New Year's Eve dinner, then I was told that my credit card was used to pay for it. After that I had to go to the McDonald's next door and spilled my drink while looking for a seat. And finally realised that in a place like Hong Kong, where every inch of land is gold, McDonald's doesn't even have charging ports for people to stay after charging. I walked down the road like a frustrated wild dog, every pedestrian was polished, decent, happy and accompanied by their families. And I crouched on the ground thinking about my flight that had been suddenly cancelled over 40 hours earlier, the train ride from Manchester to London with three suitcases just to get off, the place I had carefully chosen for myself so that I could get up at 4am to catch my flight without disturbing anyone or maxing out my card. All I wanted was a good night's sleep. But it was all ruined, I didn't want to think about my relationship with fate anymore, I didn't want to understand anyone or be understood anymore, it was all like a theatre of the absurd as I crouched on the side of the road like an overwhelmed wild dog. I don't tell it to accuse anyone, even if it seems so, I just don't know how to escape the sinking swamp Now you know the reason why this place can't be found on many travel sites, it's not for tourists. But honestly, if you have internet (so you can find the place) and a charged phone, it's a good choice. the bathroom is clean and provides bath towels and slippers (not disposable), there are plenty of charging ports, the ventilation works properly and there's even a vanity mirror with led.
