I will never go back or recommend this place until they fix it. You have to stay outdoors in the cold for the whole error probe check in process on a clumsy keyboard with tiny buttons. I had to repeat it three time or so to figure it out. Then it spits your check in paper on the ground! Once you pick it up you see two papers in German with a dozen codes, none of these exactly have the same title as what the door lock asks for! Then you get to a depressing stairwell with no lounge area etc. in the room, the shower drain doesn't work, drawning you in your bathwater, and it took me a day to find where wifi pass is mentioned. In sum, service is non existent, maintenance is low, and communal areas don't exist. All for the price that's comparable an actual proper hotel stay! There are pamphlets about breakfast if you like to study :)) get the basics right, no need for cutting edge tech before that!

We arrived at the door and the self checking machine was not working. It was written a phone number to call but after more than1 hour on the phone they simply said they could not do anything about it and that sorry. We were left at the street at 1am having to find a place by ourselves. I do not understand that if the put a note saying that the machine is broken they do not find a solution to avoid this.

We were transferred to this hotel from another hotel because of a renovation back in December 2022. The heater takes a while to start up and there is no elevator BUT this hotel is perfect for how much you’re paying. Literally walking distance to every Christmas market and most importantly, the Dom cathedral. This is a self service hotel so if you are expecting service, look elsewhere and expect to pay more. For my husband, my toddler and myself, we enjoyed our stay here and will definitely book here the next time we visit Köln.

Not even worth a star! The PIN code I received from the machine after check-in was not working at all! I’ve been calling for help 7 times, got hang up twice, and one time I was told “She doesn’t understand English” although she was speaking English with me…Stuck outside for an hour but no one could help anything, so basically I threw my money for NOTHING but frustration. Nearly ended up being homeless but they did not care! A big warning to people who coming to Cologne! Book somewhere else otherwise you waste your money and time! It’s a scam!!!!!! All instructions given by the hotel were not working! Just refund the money your hotel took for nothing. What goes around comes around!!!
