Unbelievably good value! The rooms are basic and a bit tired but clean and with an en-suite (cleaned daily). We were out and about in London so rooms were fine for our purpose. The area is lovely. Gloucester Road Tube Station is a five - ten minute walk away depending on how quickly you want to get there. There is a complimentary breakfast which is a bonus - full English (or elements of if that's too much), cereal and a selection of fruit, plus tea, coffee and juice - all served by pleasant folk. There aren't tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms but guests can help themselves to tea/coffee in the kitchen and take it up to their room if they wish. If you want more luxury be prepared to pay three/four/five + times as much. If you're going to London for a few days and want a clean place as a base with helpful staff (and a bonus meal to start your day) in a great location, all at an amazing price then you won't be disappointed.

Easy check in/out . Staff extremely helpful to provide us 2 electric heaters as room not warm enough as we have low tolerance of cold . 5 of us stayed for 4 nights at newly refurbished family room ( huge room enough sleep 6 ) which located next to reception . It will be perfect if the room has extra table and chairs ( no place to dine if brought take away back ) , some glasses/cups ( have to go down to kitchen pantry to get some ) and good air proof (as every morning around 6:30am the kitchen smell will traveled to room and it happened to served us as alarm clock as well ) . The hotel provides fresh to cook English breakfast ( remember must ask for full breakfast or else will only come egg ) and free flow of DIY hot chocolate, coffee and tea ( some fruits as well ) that located at kitchen pantry ( breakfast area ) . Location within zone1 and 6-8 minutes walk from Gloucester Road station which is super convenient ! Along the way you can see English localised housing and quiet neighbourhood that u can't see if you stay at right central of London . I will stay here again in future and will request for higher floor .

Just stayed here for a week while in London. The staff was amazing. The breakfast was quick, filling and attentive. The location was wonderful. The neighborhood is incredibly nice and safe. I highly recommend. I thoroughly enjoyed my staff. Only thing I suggest is they may need a mirror outside of the bathroom, but it was a lovely stay. Well worth what we paid.

Compared to the other London hotel we stayed at ( same price point) the St Simeon was just barely adequate. There was no towel rack or even one hook in the bathroom. There was not one glass or cup so we had to bend a plastic water bottle that we had with us and squeeze it under the tap in the tiny sink...the room was tiny and very dated On the plus side, it seemed quite clean, was quiet and we felt safe The breakfast was included and was nicely served in the downstairs dining room so I give them a thumbs up for that. I don't know if (or if so, why) Kensington hotels seem so pricey for very, very, basic rooms. We moved to a much nicer hotel a few blocks away the next day ( cost us the equivalent of an extra $100 Canadian, but the quality of the room was infinitely better. So, if you can, look around for other options.

Great location, within zone1 of Central London. Short walk to Gloucester Road train station. Waitrose grocery is close, and also restaurants. Harrods department store, 3 major museums (free) such as Natural History, Victoria and Albert, and Science Museum are also within walking distance. Quiet residential location. Free English breakfast everyday. Basic rooms but clean and comfortable. I like that guests can use the kitchen - used it to microwave dinner bought from the grocery or boil water for cup noodles. Great and friendly staff. My daughter accidentally left her airpods behind and they were mailed back to us, FOR FREE. They go above and beyond for their guests.
