It’s a 2 star hotel that might have been a 4 in 1500. Definitely, overrated and overpriced hotel. I wish I had read the reviews prior. All it’s true. Full of mold, unclean rooms, rusty shower heads.. and the electric board in each room makes an insane annoying buzzing sound while it’s online. Don’t book here. Let them go bankrupt, it’s all it deserves.

This is the most disgusting hotel I have stayed in during the last 20 years. The rooms are in dreadful condition, the fridge does not work, the bathrooms are filthy and in disrepair, the wardrobe is moldy and filthy. The "balcony" is in terrible condition. The TV channels are non existent, especially in non-Portuguese languages. See the photos and judge for yourself. I wanted to check out immediately but they refused to give me a refund. DO NOT STAY HERE, DO NOT BOOK HERE. Management is terrible and the place is disgusting. You are better off sleeping at the train station. No kidding.

Worst hotel Ever!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! It’s old, dark, dated and unsafe. Not in a good area either. There are much better guest houses in town for similar price range. This hotel should not be on any of the booking websites. If you are a woman travelling alone avoid this place.

Budget style hotel. Staff are nice and friendly. The let down was it was old and dated. Mold and cobwebs by the windows but other than that cleanliness is just passable. Location is 5mins from train station but not really close to the any of the landmarks. There was parking but with taxes it equatated to 19 euros which is pricey but at least your car is safe and close by. Air con didn't work so we left our balcony door open all night and thankfully it was quiet.

Pros: great location, next to the Coimbra old town. Good price. Nice spacious bedroom with closes balcony. Huge comfy bed. Cons: the bathroom was very crowded and old. The wiring in the bedroom was messed up, most lights didn't open and there was no main light, just 3 lamps. Very slow/old fridge. The food they serve in the reception is horrendous. We had a disgusting vegetable soup that was from a tin and a cheese toastie. Its very hard to mess up a toasty but this one was dry and flavourless and tiny. They charge a lot for this food. They offer breakfast but I would recommend not getting it based on the poor food quality and high prices €12 euros for one. All in all this hotel is definitely not a 4 start hotel, the price is decent, the rooms are fine for a short stay, don't buy their food.
