super friendly and helpful staff: my friend lost his mobile phone in a taxi and the staff was able to find back the taxi and get back the phone (after 10 or 15 phone calls). Out of that the room are modern, super clean, and bed very comfortable. The breakfast is just an amazing surprise.

Loved my stay in Sub Karakoy, pretty trendy hotel. Arty style. Amazing location, it’s 10mn away from Galata and main attractions of Istanbul, full of restaurants, coffee shops and bars all around. The fancy breakfast with a view was awesome

This is an awful hotel that scammed us! You won't find bad reviews about them as they ask people to delete them offering to stay in their other luxury hotel Root, but in fact they lie to you. Once you delete your review, they do not reply to you anymore. They stay at this hotel doesn't worth its money. It's like a cheap hotel with awful smell in the bathroom, no cleaning, bad breakfast and unfriendly staff. Also, it's almost no air in the room, and very cold in spring, when we stayed. BEWARE OF IT AND AVOID THIS HOTEL, it's our first BAD EXPERIENCE IN ISTANBUL.

The room was lovely but slightly smaller than we were expecting. Breakfast was delicious but served in the hotel next door not the hotel itself, the same with the gym- it is located in a different hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable. Decorated nicely. Only one elevator and it was a squeeze to get in with big backpacks. Occasionally the drainage system smelt bad and there was a lot of noise from the streets below. The main light in our room did not work and the aircon would not change settings but these were minor issues. For the most part we enjoyed our stay, it is located in a great place near lots of restaurants. Just a short walk from shopping areas and easily accessible from old town and the ferry ports.
