Swiio Hotel Ximending

I love the hotel very much, room is clean, designed well and the location can't be beat. No windows in my room, but it wasn't an issue for me. My personal problem is I felt like my privacy was invaded a bit. At midnight one of the days I stayed, I had a little too much to drink, so my friends (2 of them) helped me get back. The moment we stepped into my room, the hotel phone rang. Someone at the front desk was calling because they thought 3 people were staying in a room meant for two, so I would be charged if it was so. We cleared up the misunderstanding but I felt that it was kinda of uncomfortable and eerie that we got a call IMMEDIATELY (the door was still open because we had just walked in) when we entered the room and from then on, I started noticing all the cameras lined throughout the halls. It makes me feel nervous to invite friends to the room for a chat lest the front desk calls in again. UPDATE: The hotel room was called again. On my last night, I brought a friend up to my room. When we were done, I offered to walk him home, but came back with him as I forgot my wallet. Then, the familiar ring of the hotel phone was heard again. I went to the lobby and asked why this was the case. I was told my guest has to present his ID as some people have brought back minors and they need to make sure (my guest was 27 with a full beard). I was then told they call if there are too many people in one room as they're afraid there would be a party that would disturb other guests. And that 'guest visiting hours' were until 10pm. It was confusing for me, because this felt more like a student dorm than a hotel with such rules. You are assumed to be noisy, to be up to no good, and they call you up to reprimand you because *they are ALWAYS WATCHING*. I understand their intentions but they should be upfront with guests at check-in about all these procedures as to not blindside them. Overall, if you're a private person who doesn't like people to know what you're doing, I can't recommend this place as your social life, sex life, etc, will be put up to scrutiny by their staff.
