First of all the location was excellent. It was 3 minutes walk from Taksim square. We had no problem talking the metro or the buses. The room was excellent. It was exactly as we saw in the photos here. It was big enough and had all the comforts that were promised. Every day the staff cleared the room and everyone was very polite in this hotel. The breakfast was really good and had a wide variety of food and beverages. This hotel was a really value for money! The neighbourhood was a bit loud in the night and the noise was a little bit disturbing some time between 23:00-02:00 but it was not a fault of the hotel. Also, the only "bad" thing I can say about the hotel was the mattress was very hard.

The room was very clean, the service was excellent and the staff was the friendliest staff me and my husband ever met! We arrived 5 hours earlier than planned and they accommodated us without hesitance and no extra payment even though we insisted. The hotel was like a 3min walk from Taksim’s square and in a quiet neighbourhood. 10/10 would recommend.

My family and I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Taximist Hotel in Istanbul, and I must say, it was far from the pleasant stay we had anticipated. Despite its supposedly positive reviews (unbelievable score of 9.1 of 10), our time at this hotel was nothing short of a disappointment. First and foremost, the maintenance of this hotel was virtually non-existent. We encountered multiple issues during our stay, including a constantly leaking toilet that created an unpleasant and unhygienic environment. Additionally, the towels and bed sheets provided to us were riddled with holes, suggesting a lack of attention to cleanliness and basic upkeep. One of the most disheartening aspects was the breakfast area. It was shockingly small, cramped, and located underground. With only five tables crammed into this confined space, it was an uncomfortable and inconvenient setting to start our day. In light of our experience, I find it incredibly perplexing how this hotel has managed to maintain a seemingly high rating of 9 out of 10 in reviews. It is evident that the positive reviews must be misleading or outdated, as our stay was far from satisfactory. Our stay at the Taximist Hotel was an unfortunate reminder that appearances can be deceiving, and it serves as a cautionary tale for fellow travelers seeking a pleasant and enjoyable stay in Istanbul.

I had a disappointing experience at this hotel. Despite friendly staff, the overall cleanliness was severely lacking, making it possibly the worst option in the district, or even in all of Istanbul given its price range. The hotel's condition impacted my stay negatively, overshadowing any attempts by the staff to assist. The breakfast was far from satisfactory, and the state of the bathroom was subpar. While the location near Taksim Square is convenient, the atmosphere of the hotel is off-putting. Additionally, the absence of basic amenities like napkins (replaced only with toilet paper) was inconvenient. The standard rooms felt cramped and confining, reminiscent of prison cells."
