Testaccio Hotel Monte dei Cocci, Sonder by Marriott Bonvoy

Kind and personal service, hotel is good quality and large rooms which is rare in Rome. Hotel is close to the centre without being in a busy or bad neighborhood. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Me and my girlfriend had a wonderful time in Hotel Re Tesla, Rome, Italy We stayed there in June 2022 for 3 nights. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in a budget friendly hotel in Rome that offers, a clean comfortable bed, nice shower, and a balcony for a very good price. I literally found this place randomly on Google at the last second and I’m very glad I spent my time in this hotel. I was so happy with it that I’m taking the time to write this review. So as I said, it has a good price, our room was very clean and nice, the bed was great and the shower was refreshing and had good stream of hot water 24/7, and in addition, the room had a big private balcony which is amazing. For this price it’s a catch. Also it’s about 20 minutes walk to the Colosseum, 5 minutes to the river. The hotel is just next several classical Italian restaurants and literally next to is a food market where you can eat breakfast (at the market, there is a nice vegan shop worth checking out if it’s relevant for your diet). I also wish to point out that Hotel Re Testa has an has an outstanding staff; Kristina made us feel at home from the very first moment we’ve arrived. She truly cared about our experience and she took the time to teach us about the history of Rome, general Italian history, and gave us so many priceless advices on how to make our stay in Rome so much better and richer. She literally opened a map and explained “how everything is divided in this city”. For me personally, Kristina was one of the most nicest and interesting people I’ve met in all Italy. So Kristina, if you will be reading this one day I hope you remember us and that you will see how much we appreciated your hospitality and big heart. Thank you, and hello from your Israeli friends.
