As a Platinum member of Bonvoy, my recent stay at the Edition was deeply disappointing, diverging significantly from the high standards I've come to expect based on my extensive experience with Edition hotels worldwide. Upon arrival, the manager informed me that the customary Marriott complimentary upgrade for my platinum status to the next category was unavailable due to a "new rule" excluding upgrades during the holiday season. Despite my late check-in after 9 pm on a weekday for 1 night and the availability of suites, an upgrade was only offered at an additional cost, which I paid. Unfortunately, the suite's condition was far below expectations and the usual. The bedroom temperature was uncomfortably high, suggesting the air conditioning was malfunctioning. The sinks in both the main and living room toilets were prone to overflowing, and the shower gel and different hotel amenities were empty without replacement prior to my check-in. Furthermore, the suite's couch was broken, featuring a noticeable dent that impacted its usability and comfort. Service requests were met with extensive delays, detracting from the overall experience of my stay. Adding to the discomfort, the noise from traffic persisted until 3 am which can be heard from highest floors in the hotel, disrupting the peace and quiet typically associated with a stay at Edition. This level of noise pollution, combined with the suite's condition and the lack of timely service, contributed to a rather unpleasant stay. Having stayed at this particular hotel for over 20 weekends, I've observed a stark decline in service quality under the new management. What once felt like a premium experience now aligns more closely with a 2-3 star service. As a loyal and regular customer, it's disheartening to witness such a dramatic transformation. The current state of affairs has led me to reconsider future visits to this establishment, as it no longer meets the standards I expect from the Edition brand.

Very poor customer service. Needed to simply to cancel 1 night on a multiple night trip, the hotel kept zero consideration for my situation and refused to allow me to cancel one night. I am a loyal Bonvoy member staying multiple nights at Marriott properties. They might carry the name of Marriott, but they do not carry the customer service of this United States company. You would be better off booking at any other property in Dubai.

The lobby is beautiful, the location is great (across the street from Dubai Mall) and the service is good. However, the rooms are tiny (I stayed in a double queen room) and the overall value for money is low. For the same price there are better hotels in Dubai. I wouldn't stay here again.

My recent stay at The Dubai Edition, a new establishment just a stone’s throw from the Dubai Mall, left me with mixed feelings. The hotel, while boasting a convenient location, fails to deliver the quintessential five-star experience one might expect, aligning more closely with a three or at best, a four-star rating. This discrepancy mainly stems from a noticeable lack of attention to detail in both the physical infrastructure and management. Firstly, the structural aspects of the hotel raised several questions. Why must the flooring be uncomfortably cold? The light from the air conditioning unit is distractingly bright, and I found it peculiar that the terrace door cannot be securely locked. Moreover, the room decor is drearily monochrome, lacking any vibrant accents to enliven the atmosphere. The management aspects also fell short of the mark. Despite paying a premium akin to a five-star hotel, the level of personal care and attention that one might expect was conspicuously absent. Housekeeping services were inconsistent and sometimes oddly timed, like in the evenings around 7 PM. The quality of the amenities like the worn-out pillows and frayed towels further diminished the overall experience. In summary, for those familiar with the “Edition” range of hotels, The Dubai Edition unfortunately does not live up to the standard set by its counterparts. While it might offer basic comfort, it lacks the refined touch and meticulous care characteristic of a top-tier hotel.

If i could give this hotel 0 stars i would. We experienced significant issues during our stay at this hotel, where we booked two rooms. Unfortunately, a table in my parents' room broke, resulting in shattered marble on the floor and an injury to my mother's foot. When we reported the incident, the hotel staff prioritized discussing payment for damages without expressing concern for my mother's well-being. Despite its purported 5-star status, the hospitality fell short of expectations. I advise against choosing this hotel, even if it boasts a reputation on "The Dubai Bling," as its service does not align with such standards.
