If you want to catch an early flight or if your flight gets in too late to drive home, this is a decent place to stay. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. However, I came in alone with a large suitcase, stuffed backpack, shopping bag and my purse, and no one said, "Hey, let me give you a hand" or "would you like a luggage cart?" Quick to check me in and get my credit card info for the incidentals, but still no offer of assistance or even heading me in the direction of the sole luggage cart -- I even had to return the cart to the lobby myself. Biggest complaint is with the TV. Remote may or may not have been purchased prior to the last millennium. Slow to respond. Limited choice of movies. This hotel needs to learn a little bit about convenience and making its guest feel welcome.

I fly through Winnipeg seven or eight times a year and always stay at the Grand. The Grand is across the street from the airport. It is so easy to get to. Normally before picking up my bags I had across the street and check in. I get my key drop off my backpack in the room and return to the airport to pick up my checked luggage. by the time I return to the carousel, the luggage has started coming off of the plane. I grab my luggage and get back to the hotel. Normally I would have a cooler of frozen food and the reception at the hotel places my cooler in their freezer and keeps it frozen for the night. The next morning it’s so easy to pick it up and head back across the street to the airport. The hotel is a wonderful place to stay with lots of dining options. Next door there are two places to eat and downstairs in the hotel. There’s a lovely dining facility. Just a very convenient and pleasant place to stay. The rooms are lovely. The bathrobes are a nice touch along with the bottled water in the room.

Stayed just the one night as we had an early morning flight check in. Beautiful hotel. Room was fantastic, quiet, beds were comfortable. Bathroom was clean and the shower was fantastic, one criticism was not enough places to hand wet towels. Next time we fly with an early morning check in we will be staying again. The Blue Marble restaurant was very cosy, didn’t eat but had drinks and had great bar staff.
