Wyndham Garden Winnipeg Airport

I definitely Do NOT recommend this place at all, came to the room with our food that we bought to eat in the room. No microwave. Then we were looking forward to using the hot tub, well guess what that doesn't work. As well get into the elevator and there was some kind of gross liquid substance on the door, walking to our room the hall ways seem narrow. Pizza box in the .iddle of hall, This place is a dumpster. Wouldn't recommend it at all.

Edit in retaliation of this review they double charged me. Overall I am conflicted about my stay. Coming off the national day of truth and reconciliation I wanted to spend where I believed would benefit the indigenous community with my stay at Wyndham garden airport location for my visit to Winnipeg. Concerns : 1. Every time someone enters or exits you hear it through the paper thin construction of the hotel . The room doors push in and out against the frame giving the illusion someone maybe attempting to enter each time a neighbouring room exits or enters due to the air vaccum that is created or dispersed in the narrow hallways and poorly designed architectural hallways of each floor. 2. Kids running all night. Called down and they apologized. Big bags of garbage infront of my neighbours door and so I was greeted by trash for the majority of my two day stay upon exiting or entering my room . 3. Although I grew up in the inner city I can see how families and suburban folks may feel uncomfortable with the questionable characters they host via support groups in the meeting rooms at this hotel. It seemed there was one each night - late into the evening. 4. Hotel washroom on mainfloor was dirty with toilet paper all over the floor In the evening . 5. Pool is 3ft deep and only meant for kids. Hot tub was broken and not working and was told would not be working for the foreseeable future 6. Did not see much aboriginal/ indigenous staff. I felt conflicted as I left this establishment feeling that yet again our indigenous population has been exploited (this time by a corporation ) to give off the allure of supporting the natives but really it’s just to make a buck off of them. Especially considering most people staying here were of aboriginal decent . 7. Called down to lobby no one picked up as I needed towels due to room service being scarce . When you use the hotel phone and press front desk it doesn’t work as it has not been programmed . Positives: Evening security guard was polite and always visible at the front desk.
