The modernist hotel is a nice gem in all of New York. Aaron at the front desk was very respectful and made my trip from New Jersey a lot less stressful. My room was super clean and had so much open space with a beautiful view. I would definitely want to get a room here again.

Can’t say enough about the Modernist Hotel. Would give it 6 stars if I could. Some of the best parts: - Location: Close to the Subway, very easy to access Manhattan - Service & Staff: extremely kind, thoughtful, and helpful. - Views: We stayed in one of the Manhattan View rooms, and the view was fantastic. - Room + Design: Thoughtfully chosen decor and furniture, kitchenette was helpful, room was cozy. The kind of place you’re okay with getting stuck in if weather isn’t favorable. - Little Flower Coffee: a couple blocks up the street. Get the breakfast burrito with the Halal bacon. You won’t regret it. Some extra notes: - I love to workout, but struggled to find into on the hotel gym. For those wondering - it has a couple cardio machines, an incline bench, and dumbbells up to 50lbs. Decent setup for a boutique, family owned hotel.

My family came here last minute without a reservation and they still gave us a room. Their staff is wonderful and they always greet you. There’s a chill area downstairs too. It’s a thoughtful hotel. I really also love the aesthetic. It was very modern and homey!!
