The hotel is well-maintained despite being an old hotel. The room I stayed was spacious and super clean. The amenities exceeded my expectation. There are many channels on TV to watch and the aircon was cold enough. The toiletries provided were complete. The hotel even provided tooth floss. It was so comfortable to stay in the room. The service of front desk staff was good and professional. They were very helpful (we made a last minute booking only upon arrival in Taipei) and advised us on travel and attractions too. The cleaning ladies were friendly too. The hotel is conveniently located with several convenience stores and supermarkets in its vicinity. The Qing Guang night market is just nearby. I will surely return if I visit Taipei again.

We were in the city for just a few days, but had a great experience. The room, staff, and service at The Riviera was fantastic! The restaurant, coffee, and bakery on site made it easy to get our meals easily when we didn't have time to explore other options. I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in that area.

The hotel is really outdated. 1. No automatic doors or staff to assist with luggage, which is unfriendly for guests with baggage. 2. No USB outlets. 3. The shower water flow is too weak. 4. There is a smell in the room, possibly from the drainage. 5. The one-night stay is expensive, making it a poor value for business trips, and is unsatisfactory for personal travel. 6. The elevator is also very old and unsafe (anyone can use it) All in all, the experience is poor with high price.
