The Rif has a lovely property and is a short walk to the historic center/sites. Our room on the ground floor was somewhat small with a very small bathroom. At night, loud voices from the lobby traveled all the way to our room, keeping us awake until the people left. The first floor may have had more quiet. The breakfast was only OK. No better. A couple of hot options would have been appreciated. In mid November 2023, some construction nearby made driving to the hotel a little hassle, not to mention traffic. Hopefully that will be done soon.

Young family of 5, stayed one night in the quadruple room to see Pisa. Loved our stay at The Rif, room was ideal with two very large beds. Spotless too. Lovely private patio. Surrounding garden great for kids, but no playground as mentioned on their website ?! Very short walk to the Tower and historical area. Staff lovely too. Ample and easy parking. Would definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed my stay in The Rif. The entrance and common areas are nicely decorated. The room was simply presented but had everything you need. The best thing about this boutique hotel is the staff who were all great and the location. Although only a couple of hundred metres from the hustle and bustle of the Leaning Tower the gardens are an amazingly tranquil space to have a drink or a nice bite to eat.

This hotel is very much style over substance. On the surface it looks so great, but there were so many things that were off. We heard other people struggling with hot water and was told there were mice in their rooms. Our towel rack was extremely dangerous as it was exposed to a live wire and I got a massive shock when I went to grab a towel after my shower. I reported this to the staff upon check out and the receptionist was very apologetic and took the comment very seriously. However, I doubt that this is a new problem which means they are putting their domestic staff at risk daily. We decided to have our evening meal in the courtyard. This was very romantic and I do recommend if you do stay here. This was fantastic and our waiter was superb. Pros: - very close to pisa tower - courtyard is very nice - staff Cons: - overpriced - noisy due to construction outside (can't really fault the hotel, nonetheless it woke us up early both mornings) -
