The Westin Copley Place is such a nice hotel to stay at while in Boston. Centrally located and within walking distance of nearly everything to do in the city. The lobby is perfectly decorated for Christmas with plenty of trees adorned for the holiday. The two shining stars of this hotel would be the front desk attendants and the upstairs valet attendants. Both sets of people were not only engaging and friendly but went above and beyond to ensure that our time at this hotel was perfect. The room was nice, but the bed wasn't nearly as comfortable as the one in the Marriott hotel. I know the same company, but you'd think for more $ at the Westin, you'd get a better bed. Nope Also, the bar downstairs on the second floor is open for a buffet breakfast which is tremendous! The service at this restaurant is second to none.

Good room, nice and big. Bed is very comfortable. Some amenities need to be asked first. Front staffs can be friendlier and more smile, I think they focus more on getting the job done fast and forget to be welcoming and friendly. House keeping staff also has no smile and no customer service attitude. Breakfast foods just standard, had many great tasting ones in other places. Location is very good, can find many places of interest withing walking distance.

I would give this hotel 5 stars if breakfast was included. We were there for a conference and paid a lower rate, so maybe other guests have breakfast included. Our options were a $29/person breakfast buffet, walk to Chikfila although they’re closed on Sunday, get $10 snack foods in the hotel store, or walk to Star Market. It’s cold, rainy, and windy and really don’t want to walk down there. It would’ve been helpful if the hotel told us when I was making the reservation that breakfast is not included. I just assume when paying hundreds of dollars per night for a room, there would be breakfast. I would’ve planned for grabbing some groceries and budgeted for more food expenses. There is a little fridge and a coffee pot. On a positive note, the concierge guys were a good help in figuring out where to get groceries. And he helped us get tickets for the trolley. The hotel is in a great location for upscale shopping and sightseeing. It’s in between 2 subway lines and connected to the Copley Mall which also connects to the Marriott and the Prudential center. The tour guided trolley stop #10 is at the Marriott next door. There are a few good lunch and dinner places close by. The Logan Express stop at Back Bay is also very close. It’s clean and comfortable.
