It's a real nice hotel, the rooms are large and spacious and very nicely decorated. My TV did not work but maybe that's a plus i didn't ask for it to be fixed. In terms of location it's a bit farther off from some of the main attractions so take that into account. The neighborhood it's is very upscale without really any cheap options for gifts or memorabilia. All in all a very nice experience.

This is a historic hotel with old world charm. Built in the early 1900’s, it has had its share of celebrities stay here. It has been kept with the times and has all the modern amenities you would want and expect. The restaurant and bar in sight were excellent, great service and food was awesome. The Concierge and front end staff were very attentive and helpful. The hotel is located in a quiet part of Rome across from the US Embassy and a 10 minute walk the Spanish Steps and all the high end shops. We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend staying here.

Perfect location for New Years Eve in Rome! Absolutely fabulous hotel with wonderful staff, comfortable rooms, beautiful ambiance, delicious breakfast, and awesome location. I can't say enough good things about The Westin Excelsior, I hope to come back again someday! We booked our rooms on points over the New Years holidays. I didn't know what to expect with Rome over NYE, but I can confidently say it may be the best place to enjoy the festivities and city fireworks. Our room balcony on the 5th floor (free upgrade, thank you Westin!) was the perfect vantage point. The location of the hotel was perfect for walking to amazing restaurants, all the beautiful sites, and the nearby gardens. The staff were so friendly and helpful and our room was made every day with fluffy towels and crisp sheets. We added a rollaway bed for my daughter; we've found this is always a risk, but it was an great experience at this hotel and our daughter was super comfy and happy. The breakfast buffet, provided complimentary for my Marriott status, was delicious and had everything you could possibly want. The downstairs gym and indoor pool was really nice and great for starting my New Years resolutions and working off all the Italian food 😉 If you're considering this hotel, stop looking and stay here. It's great!

Room was quite big and had a nice balcony, definitely could use some updating (esp. the carpet) but it's a historic hotel and was to be expected. King bed is actually 2 twins pushed together, which wasn't ideal. Rooms were cleaned every day, including turn down service which was very nice. Location was more central for the business district vs tourist spots, but probably made it quieter at night. It's kind of at the top of the hill, so downhill walks to most places (Trevi fountain, Colosseum, etc.), then would taxi back. Hotel was easy to get to and well known by taxis, which was helpful! Breakfast was included for rewards members and was a great spread. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful.

It’s been about 10 years since my stay here at the Westin Excelsior in Rome but I remember my stay like it was yesterday! I was fortunate enough to tag along with my father on a half business trip half vacation and this was our first stop. Rome is beyond incomprehensibly gorgeous and this hotel included is stately and awe-inspiring! I was absolutely petrified during my stay as the building is quite old and as someone who’s quite spiritual I picked up on a lot of energy, not sure if it was the room or the hotel itself but I was very uneasy the whole time…which was so cool!! The staff was so friendly and accommodating, the hotel is luxurious and opulent while cozy at the same time. My next stop after this was the Excelsior in Florence and I have to say I’d 10/10 recommend an Excelsior to anyone traveling to Italy!!
