Stunning hostel! Definitely one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in, and in an excellent location very close to a metro station and down a cute street. We had a double ensuite room which was very spacious, clean, and had its own balcony with a perfect view of the city buildings. The room was very quiet and perfect for catching up on jetlag sleep. There was a breakfast included in the lovely cafe area of tasty bagels, muesli and yogurt, and water or coffee. I can't rate this hostel highly enough!

UNPLAN Kagurzaka is well located, near the cultural city center, as a walking person I enjoyed quick morning strolls (from the attractions I visited, everything was 30 minutes away), plus the neighboring area is full of local shops where food and other supplies can be easily found. The staff is super friendly and has got a competent level of English. The city is generally down starting 5 pm, the bar and lounge at the hostel is open later, so it is always comfortable to find fresh food after long touristic places. The city of Tokyo holds strict regulations concerning smoking, the hostel doesn't offer facilities (for good), however, there's some spots nearby where tobacco can be either accesible and enjoyable. Facilities are always clean, renew and comfortable. I don't know if it's a Japanese thing, but there isn't lockers to store your luggage. I wasn't stolen or anything, but for a control freak like me, it might be a bit challenging to let my suitcases just aside of the people in my shared room. Breakfast wasn't cool, but believe me, I barely found good food during the morning on this side of the island. Bread and yogurt are offered, I would definitely open my menu with some more "occidental" options, it is super nice to have a light breakfast but what place would be better for a foreigner to feel a bit more like home like the own staying premises? Nothing bad about it (realistically speaking), just my opinion.

By far the most disappointing out of the 3 hostels I stayed in during my second visit to Tokyo. First, none of the bidets work, and every toilet seems broken. Second, the “common” area is a tiny room that has a malfunctioning fan which causes an extremely loud noise, so it’s impossible to hold a conversation, or focus on getting work done. The other common area is actually an entirely different business—a cafe that forces you to buy a drink if you want to sit and work. A terrible hostel for digital nomads and for people looking to socialize. Staying here more than one night would be an absolute mistake, and please trust me, I have stayed at over 100 hostels in my life. The only good part of the Hostel is the Staff who was incredibly nice and helpful. The hostel is also located in an incredibly boring and quiet area that is far away from anything you would want to see in Tokyo I would highly recommend staying anywhere else in Tokyo, this is easily one of the worst hostels I’ve ever stayed in my life
