Happened to book this place last minute. Absolutely loved the hotel. Although I wasn’t happy with the service and would have rated lower, but the hotel itself was nice, so settling in at 4 stars. Rooms were nice. You could find now nice beach views as well as river view. The pool area is beautiful for quick swim or to just sit by and enjoy a few drinks. Service was slightly disappointing though. The front desk reception staff were fine but could definitely be more welcoming. We asked if it’d be better if we booked with them directly or through 3rd party websites and we were told do whichever, a little explanation or attention would be thoughtful. We dined in once at the hotel restaurant and ordered room service. Both the times they forgot our order and when we checked back they had already closed the kitchen and they dint seem to care! Quite appalling! One other poorly managed aspect is parking. Pay up 300$ for a room per night, and you’re still expected pay extra to use a parking spot and fill out a whole different form with your info and card details again for parking! Maybe you could streamline the process and add the costs into the room charge, because who’s in the mood for extra paperwork when on vacation?

Staff were excellent and very accomodating. The facilities appear to be pleasant and the poolside bar makes great drinks with great service, and has a great riverside aspect. The rooms could be updated, along with the air conditioning system that was set to 18 but never actually went under 25.9 (and also sounded like a lawnmower was right next to the bed). Overall location was good but it's hard to justify the $350 spent per night on such an outdated room.

Very happy with our stay. We had an issue with a broken air conditioner that dripped, and maintenance was sent up right away. We were moved to a new room with no issues. Location is great, right on the river with lovely views and very short walk to the shops, tram and beach. Pool was lovely too. Staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially when we ended up having to book another night at the very last second due to an issue with our flights. Special shout out to Amanda for even helping me untangle my daughters braids!
