We stayed at this hotel from 28.9 to 2.10. We arrived with 2 children and that's why we booked 2 rooms. The invitation was with one last name and it was very clear that we are a family. But at the reception it was clarified that we got 2 rooms on different floors and far from each other. The clerk at the reception was not ready to help and stated a fact. The room we got was horrible, uncomfortable, small with a view to the roof from the first floor. The room has serious acoustic problems and plumbing problems in the sink. The next day we wrote to the hotel manager. The manager gave a dismissive answer and gave us the feeling that I should thank him for staying at the hotel! We travel a lot and Luv stays in 5 star level hotels, this hotel is not worth the level at all and the manager and staff have a lot to learn about customer service. And another small thing, body soap in the shower was not renewed during all the days and how many times they forgot to put face towels.

This place was renovated lately (so I was told) and it was the best hotel I've ever seen in my 44 years. When you arrive there you can feel you're in Italy. Look at the pictures and imagine it even better and you still don't know how you'll feel when you see that place for the first time. It is incredible. When you walk to that pool area or the dinner area you have a view all over Florence. It's breathtaking. And the staff is the nicest I ever experienced in a hotel. They'll do whatever they can to make you happy and they (at least) give you the feeling they love what they are doing. So nice, so charming, sometimes so funny. We had dinner on their terrace (oh my, the food! The wine! Try everything if you can!) with a view of Florence by night while Besmir was serving us for dinner. This guy is great, amazing to talk to and funny. Stefania hates wasps (I'm so sorry there were so many when you brought us wine) but is the sweetest. And then there is Daniel, the guy doing all he can to make your stay at the pool area fantastic. What a sweetheart. It is expensive. It is very expensive. But it's worth every single Euro. Highly recommended.

Definitely a little more secluded than advertised, can’t walk to the city but they’ll gladly call you a taxi. The pool is awesome with a great view and the male attendant is awesome. Breakfast is good but dinner is average and pricey.

Racist and unfriendtly. Our family attended the end of the year party at Vila Tolomei Hotel & Resort. Upon arrival, we were escorted to the most corner sider of the function venue. We were asked to sit on this chair/furniture, which was very dangerous. The furniture was clearly broken and we could not seat strait for long. As I was with my parents with back issues, myself included from a recent accident, I tried to ask for help to have the chair/seat/seating furtniture replaced or simly have our table moved. I asked many waiters and their managers. However, the response was that they could not accomodate it. As I was persisent throughout the night, one of the managers came up and offered very cheap wines (I worked in the wine trade previously so I recognised it quite easily). And they asked us if we could sit through the night as they were offering the wines... Being offended, I requested to speak to their manager, the general manager. The general manager finally came as we were about to leave the event. Please note that we could not eat much food due to the broken furniture. While the general manager acknowged the broken funiture, he said they could not do anything about it. He offered as a voucher at ~50% of the value of the EOY party ticket... which was ridiculous since I infomred him that we were from Australia multiple times and that we were only visiting Florence for a couple nights. Please note we were the only Asians there and it seemded quite coincidental that we were the only ones with the broken furniture ... with none of the staff really doing anyhting to help out despite the multiple attempts get things sorted. I have the full image / video recordings of the event, the borken chairs, etc. I intend to share it if no actions are taken Thank you for reading this
