The parent/guardian of the child travelling alone needs to contact the respective airline to complete certain formalities before check-in. A process is in place for Unaccompanied Minor Passenger (UNMR) OR Young Passenger (YP) by the Airlines. 
An Unaccompanied Minor Passenger is defined as a child between the age of 5 and 12, travelling without the presence of a legal guardian or parent. This term is used in immigration law and airline policies. YP or Young passenger is a child between 12 and 15 years of age.  Please check with the airline for further information.

You cannot carry any item marked banned or hazardous; it could include firearms, sharp objects, etc. There is also a limit to carrying liquids; you can only take small quantities. Most airlines allow passengers with disabilities to take their wheelchairs with them. However, it would help inform the airline about this when you book your ticket. There is no dedicated public transport available for the airport from the city. However, Mangaluru Airport is well-connected to the city via app-based cabs, rental taxis, prepaid cabs, public bus services, and auto services.

It is mandatory for everyone entering the security area to go through the security check and scanner. However, the metal detectors that one goes through during the security check generate a low-frequency magnetic field to detect metal. It is comparable to an electromagnetic field generated by standard electronic household devices. Hence, passing through the security scanner poses no harm to you if you are pregnant.
