The Jodhpur airport, with the IATA code JDH, is located 5 km from Jodhpur City and is a civil enclave airport in Rajasthan. The airport is managed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). In the 1920s, Maharaja Umaid Singh established the Jodhpur Flying Club at a small airport near his Chittar Palace in Jodhpur. During the next three decades, the airfield grew in importance, serving as a base for the Royal Air Force (RAF) during World War II. With over 500,000 passengers coming through each year, the Jodhpur airport is Indiaís 44th busiest airport. The Airport has one terminal: the Domestic Terminal (Terminal 1).
