Gwalior is a city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The name ëGwaliorí roughly translates to ëcowherdís hillí. The Coimbatore International Airport (IATA: CJB) is located in Peelamedu about 11 km from the city centre. The Gandhipuram Central Bus Station is about 10 km from the airport. It is one of the busiest airports in South India in terms of passengers, cargo handling, and aircraft movement. The single passenger terminal handles both domestic and international flight operations. There are regular flights from here to international destinations like Sharjah and Singapore. The 24 check-in counters can handle about 700 passengers at once.
