Great location, across from the train station and close to the bus station - lots of good restaurants in the area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very small (to be expected in Venice), but the bed was comfortable. Some bedrooms have toilet/shower in separate rooms (not en-suite), but this was clearly described when booking, so read the description clearly if this is an issue for you.

Albergo Marin offers a clean and comfortable stay for travelers, but there are some aspects that could be improved. The rooms are notably clean and well-maintained, ensuring a pleasant and hygienic environment for guests. However, I found the service to be somewhat lackluster. While not outright unfriendly, it seemed rather mediocre and lacking in the warmth and enthusiasm that can make a hotel stay memorable. It felt like a "bare minimum" approach to guest service. On the positive side, the hotel's location is undoubtedly its strongest selling point. Being conveniently situated near the central area, it provides easy access to Venice's main attractions, making it an ideal choice for tourists who want to explore the city without the hassle of long commutes.

Dirty, smelly, loud (apartment) I don’t recommend booking one of the apartments offered via Albergo Marin. The only positive were the comfortable beds and the relatively large rooms. It may be suitable for a group of guys who don’t have any eye for dirt and grime. I thought I had booked rooms in the hotel Albergo Marin, but to my surprise we were put in an apartment, a few blocks away from the hotel, which seemingly had nothing to do with the hotel. An apartment would have been a good idea, with two children, only that it was in bad shape. It was not clean, smelled foul and it was loud. There were two bars directly under our window, with music at night. We didn’t like the place at all and we all didn’t sleep well because we felt so uncomfortable (even though the beds themselves were generally good quality and clean). On the positive side the apartment was rather spacious. I can’t believe the positive reviews here, at least not for the apartment we got. The shower was especially gross, with years of built-up residue. The microwave had old food sticking inside. We had to wash all the plates and silverware before we used them. After a rainy day, water started dripping from the ceiling on the floor, next to the window. I would be ashamed to rent out anything like that. Next time I would look for an accommodation on one of the islands surrounding Venice, e.g. Lido. I guess you could find a better deal and clean rooms there.
