This hotel is wonderful and I would 100% recommend it to anyone staying in Lucerne. It is a quick walk away from the river and all of the famous bridges, but it is still tucked away in its own corner of the city which allows for it to be beautifully quaint as well. Special bonus is if you get a room with a view, you overlook a lovely fountain that adds ambience to your experience the moment you open your room's windows. It also has the best breakfast (with bubbly included!) for a fair price, and even has new daily pastries each morning from the local patisseries! Staff are kind, room is clean and spacious - all in all a 10/10 experience!

Loved this hotel! The location is just one block away from the river where all the bridges are and you can walk to the train station and the boat dock for the ferry boats that will take you to Weggis and Beckenreid and back. We loved it! Loved it Loved it! Our room was cozy and clean and the service exceptional.

In the heart of the old town of Luzern! We had the luck to get the room on the top floor that has a big terrace that overlooks the hills and the beautiful Chateau Gutsch! In addition they also provide valet service for car parking (27 CHF/night, which is pretty similar to other parking places, making it worthwhile).

The gentlemen at the reception in this hotel are awful. I prepaid through a tour company for my stay and was supposed to pay for taxes only at checkout. From the moment we were checking in, he mentioned the 20 francs for taxes. I said no problem, a few hours later on our way to our birthday dinner he is harassing me for the 20 francs. I told him I would pay at checkout. On day 2 as we are coming in again harassing me for the money. I told him I would pay all that was owed when I was checking out. He demanded the money. At that point, I felt so upset and disconcerted. I swiped my CC and paid him. I'm not one to easily see discrimination issues, but the gentlemen at reception at this hotel are far from where they need to be in dealing with ALL customers. I note that not everyone that came to the front desk was treated or spoken to the same way. It's awful when people like this spoil an otherwise lovely vacation. I don't recommend that anyone stays here!

Comfortable rooms and excellent location. Everyone we interacted with from the team was lovely except for one person. Aziz, the receptionist, needs an urgent crash course in hospitality. Simple questions elicited condescending responses from him. He was unnecessarily rude and when we told him so, he was disinterested and unapologetic. I did not see him speak in this manner to any other guest at any other point during our interactions and unfortunately it leaves me with the assumption his behavior stemmed from personal bias with undertones of discrimination. We had been nothing but polite and patient with him and didn’t have this experience with any other staff member.
