Hotel was able to accommodate a fragrance free room due to perfume allergy. However, staff was not willing to accommodate for perfume allergy in the common areas where they were heavily perfumed to the extent that one could smell the perfume outside down the sidewalk. Room was relatively clean, but shower floor need to be scrubbed and was a slip hazard. The breakfast was good, but the dining room was filled with perfume causing respiratory/allergic reactions.

Excellent budget hotel near Athens port. Spotlessly clean with a selection of Olive tree products in the bathroom as well as complimentary toothbrushes and slippers . After a long day travelling and getting to the hotel late it was a bonus to find the room fridge stocked with beer, wine and nuts. Great place for an overnight stop before sailing away around the Mediterranean

Had a pleasant stay at this hotel. Staffs were kind and helpful. We were lucky enough to get a room that faced the back alley as it was very quiet. Did not eat breakfast as it wasn't included and relatively expensive. Hotel is near the bus stop which has buses that take you to the airport bus stop. Can be difficult to stop the car to unload luggage as the hotel faces the main road. Has paid parking but managed to find free parking on one of the one-way busy side road.

The Alva Hotel is really great - very welcoming atmosphere. The staff throughout the hotel was very professional and friendly. They always greeted us and smiled at us. The 24 hour front desk is extremely helpful. The breakfast (à la carte) was tasty. The location of the hotel is great, just a few minutes walking distance to the main spots. The room was cosy, comfortable and clean. I recommend this hotel without hesitation to all tourists who want to travel to Athens.
