Atlantic Palace Hotel

The hotel staff and travel reps are very friendly and helpful. The lemon garden is where lunch is daily and its is a great outdoor dining experience with a large selection of food including bbq burgers and hot dogs. Ans fresh pizzas made in the pizza oven. The room we stayed in is in the annex building and we got a junior suite, which is a very large suite on the rooftop with an extra large balcony over looking the ocean and Mount Vesuvius. Very impressed all round

Good hotel on the whole. Room was nice enough and nicely decorated throughout. There was a balcony with two chairs and a coffee table, unfortunately there was no way of sitting down as these three bits of furniture literally took up the whole balcony. Even when we took out the coffee table it was 'cosy' to say the least if you both wanted to sit together on the balcony. Bed was very comfortable, some people may struggle because the mattresses were very firm, but that was great for us. Just a note though, the double bed is just two single beds pushed together. Waterfall shower was a nice addition, however if I said it was not very powerful I would probably say I was being a little kind to it. We also couldn't get the hand-held shower option to turn on whatever we did (although that may have just been us). The electrics are a little interesting. At the start of the week the light just inside the door wasn't working and then two days from the end of the week it started magically working but then the lights in the main part of the room wouldn't turn off! Very enjoyable food all week, a mix of a la cart and buffet through the week with some great tasting food. Generally service from the restaurant waiting staff was very good although our main meal was forgotten about one day and we had to wait 30 mins to order, or get any kind of service on another day. Good choice of drinks (although no chilled white wine all week so had to use ice cubes), good cocktails and some nice evening entertainment, which was mostly musical apart from a casino night one night which consisted of one roulette table and one blackjack table allowing for a total of about 15 players at any one time. All the bar staff were very friendly and the reps were brilliant! One of the highlights of the holiday for us was their rooftop bar with wonderful views of Sorrento, Vesuvius and the bay of Naples. There are a number of activities going on each day as well as a gym and an area for spa treatments (available Mon-Wed). Although the hotel was nice and only 5 mins drive from the centre of Sorrento (for which they have a free shuttle bus which runs fairly frequently) it didn't really give us the feel of Sorrento (which was lovely when we went down there) that we wanted, and this ultimately left us feeling a little underwhelmed.
