This is my go to hotel in Gothenburg since it’s clean, stylish, has a great price vs. value and has the perfect location of any hotel in the city. I stay here once a month for business and don’t need to look any further. It’s not a five star but strong 4+. Staff is friendly and all stores and loads of great restaurants are within area just a few blocks from the door. Rooms are all different. Not huge rooms but perfect good size, modern with stylish big bathrooms. What is important for me that I have 8min walk to central station. Breakfast works well and it’s not crowded. Don’t need to think for accommodation anymore since I have everything in this hotel which is comfortable! 😊

Stayed here for the World Junior tournament. Perfect location right in the middle of downtown Gothenburg. Clean rooms, good service. Excellent hotel.

I had complementary sparkling water as standard in my package, which was followed till third day, after which it changed to normal water for the rest of the 30 days i stayed here…. Kitchen is always understaffed for making omelettes for breakfast…

It's getting rare to experience a hotel in Sweden that provides "that little extra". Avalon does. Sure, it's not cheap but you do actually get what you pay for. There's that free bottle of water instead of a plastic glas by the tap. There's that bathrobe by the shower, instead of the sticker that tells you to reuse your towel. There's salmon and "skagenröra" at the breakfast buffé, instead of.... well you get the point. The hotel is famous for its rooftop pool that looks to be tipping over the side. There's free access between 12:00 and 18:00 and a wonderful place to be on a sunny day. We used the vallet parking service. It's costly compared to street parking, but it's a relatively cheap luxury.
