Conveniently located. Right in the heart of town. Well appointed, clean, comfortable rooms and beds (Most important). Staff is excellent, friendly, and very helpful. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Plenty of common areas to sit and relax, and you can have a rejuvenating or recovery drink as soon as you get there, right at the convenient check in desk/bar. Spot on Center😊👍‼️

This is my second time to Iceland and my first time staying at Center Hotels Plaza. The location could not be better if you are looking for a central start point with tons of eating, drinking, snacking, socializing, and entertainment right outside the front door. we were lucky to have a front facing room, although street noise was definitely present. I actually love ambient, city noise and thought it was funny that from the second floor, you could hear people’s conversations as they walked by at all times of day and night. It literally felt as though we were sleeping in the town square, which I thought was so cool! If you’d like a quiet room, I definitely do not recommend booking on the front. However, if you love people watching and gazing out at the lights at night, this is the side for you. The breakfast was serviceable and fresh. However, the dining room was very crowded, and there was no air circulation— on one occasion we just took our plates back up to our room which was a perfect solution. The front desk, staff and bartender were very helpful and approachable. Housekeeping staff did an excellent job making sure I room stayed fresh, and there were supplies on hand if needed. Our housekeeper, Vanessa, did a phenomenal job, and was a true pleasure to chat with as her schedule allowed. When we come to Iceland again, I definitely would stay at this hotel.

We had the most amazing time during our January 12-16 stay here. Stefan, at reception, provided such great service, recommendations, and made us feel so welcomed. We were even allowed to check in early! 11am as oppose to 2pm. They also stored our luggage for us prior to our room being ready and during our last day since our flight was in the evening. The location of this hotel makes it very close to everything. Bus stop one which is just a 5-6 minute walk made is easy to catch group excursions and to and from airport shuttles. It’s also walking distance to a ton of bars and restaurants. The all-you can eat buffet, which was included with our stay was amazing! Breakfast was from 7-10am, but starting around 5/6am, in the lobby, they had coffee, tea and croissants ready for early risers. Such a nice bonus! Our hotel room was on the 5th floor, so we couldn’t hear much of the noise from the street level. You’ll notice several complaints about the noise but note that the noise is only during Friday and Saturday nights from those partying. The hotel is very close to a lot of bars and restaurants, so during the weekends, people will stay out through 6am partying. My recommendation is to request a room on the higher floors or avoid staying here on the weekends if you’re looking for a quiet nights sleep. All in all, our trip was fantastic! We’ll definitely be back again!

They allowed me to check-in at 6 AM, even for a very late booking on the previous night at about 10:30 PM. The staff is friendly and helpful; they offered coffee and snacks when I arrived because the breakfast wasn't started yet. The free breakfast starts at 7 and it was good. There is a bar on site. This place is at a central location, several attractions within walking distance from here. The room was clean and comfortable. It comes with a mini fridge.
