I have just stayed at this hotel with my Son. Just want to say thank you to all the staff who work there. couldn't get better staff. Amazing breakfast my room was big and the beds were so comfy. The reception staff are so helpful and friendly. And we can't forget the beautiful manageress words fail me 😍 but yeah just want to say thank you to you all. Kind regards Mr James Tyrer

Family room was a good size for three adults and apparently the sofa bed was extremely comfortable. Staff were very helpful with any questions and for rearranging tours for Northern lights. The only downside to this hotel is it only does breakfast, so you’ll need to find suitable restaurants around the area. There is a Domino’s just opposite the entrance if you really get desperate 😉, but the high street is just a short walk away with plenty of choice.

We stayed here for 8 nights. So happy that we chose this hotel as our base for sightseeing in Iceland. We reserved a Deluxe room, which was renovated with a king bed and a queen pull out sofa. The bathroom was very nice, and we had a small fridge and an electric kettle. We also had a balcony. The breakfast that's included is fantastic. Everything from cereal, bread, pancakes, scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses, jams, various kinds of fresh fruit, and more. There's a great selection for everyone including vegans and other dietary restrictions. Items are clearly labeled so you don't have to guess. This location is great because everything in downtown Reykjavik is within walking distance and all of the tour companies will pick up directly from the hotel. Even when streets nearby were closed for special events we had no trouble getting in and out. The staff is also very knowledgeable and friendly.

Not particularly impressed with the hotel. It’s very different to what I expected. We initially had book a standard double room. However, 20 minutes after arrival we immediately regretted that the decision as the beds were extremely uncomfortable, the room was very dated and the tv was too small to see from the other side of the room. Not at all what is expect from a 3-star. We before paid £90 to upgrade to the deluxe double room and from then it was like a completely unique hotel. We had a very spacious room with a comfortable bed and plentiful amenities with a sea view. We were still abit stumped by the poor service however as the room cleaners hustled made the bed. They didn’t replace the towels or bedding. And receptionists weren’t particularly helpful or empathetic. The location of the hotel is good. The city is just 15 minutes walk away at a steady pace, there is a dominos over the road and a very reasonably-priced supermarket behind the hotel. Breakfast was dissatisfying, with a lack of choice and rather cold. But was edible nonetheless.
