Many negative reviews I could read before booking this hotel are a bit unfair. When I have booked the room, I have received a notification to do the check in a nearby location, and the process took 10 min max. So anyone complaining for this, simply did not read the instructions. The neighborhood is not the best, with homeless and junkies all around, but this has nothing to do with the hotel! Do your own research before booking in a city you don't know. Also, all across Europe, it is well known that around big train stations you find this type of situation. The room and the toilet were clean, no complain for that. Only problem was a weird smell inside the room, maybe because it was facing the inner courtyard and ventilation of some restaurant... If you are looking for a nice accomodation for a long stay in Hamburg,look somewhere else. If you need a cheap place for max 2 nights and you just need a bed to crash, it's a good solution.

I am writing this review while I am still in the hotel now. stuck for few more days.. Awful experience, rooms are extremely small, see the photo. You can barely walk between bed and wall. yo have to be on your tip toes. toilet is separate from the room. so you have to go out literally of your room. wash and come back to room. Check in, is not the smoothest. had to walk yet to another address (around 10 blocks away) to check in. Imagin the experience fro non german speaker to walk with the luggage and try to find the address to check in. Very poor quality, couldn't be more disappointed with a hotel.

Clean rooms and cheap but those are about the only positive points. Check in is not in the building and we had to wait in line. Neighborhood is full of strange people and you will be happy to enter the hotel as soon as possible. If you sleep on the street side you cannot sleep with the window open because of the screaming and noise. No bathroom in the room and utilities were very poor. Bad smell in the entire building. Location is good because it is very close to the center. Would not recommend families to come here. The picture is outside our room at 12 o clock.

Pros: 1. Central location. Everything within 5 mins walk - Train station, Bus station, S+U metro, eateries and penny (budget grocery store). 2. Room size was sufficiently big enough for 3 of us. It came with a separate private bathroom. Clean, spacious, Exceeded expectations. 3. Reasonable priced and well within budget. 4. Big windows and can be opened fully. A big relief in summer. Cons: 1. Check-in had be done at different hotel which was 100 mtrs away. 2. Noisy area from 10am till midnight. Stores do their loading/unloading as the day starts. 3. Crowded during daytime and you have to be careful of your belongings. Hotel has exceeded my expectations given the cost and location. I’d be happy to recommend this place to anyone visiting Hamburg on a budget.
