Great hotel! Just finished our second stay here. The staff is very friendly and was responsive to emails before our stay; we were even able to check in several hours early. They also offer luggage storage! We stayed in a two (twin) bed room. Beds were comfy and everything was clean, room service was also very responsive and thorough. Location is also great, right near Times Square and subway. Will absolutely stay here again on our next visit!

This place is perfect for having a clean and comfortable place to stay. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The staff are friendly. If you’re looking for a luxury experience this isn’t it. The rooms are tight and can get quiet warm because it’s an old building. You can hear the hallways well so it’s not that quiet. I would absolutely stay again. It was a great location, great price, and you shouldn’t be spending time in your room other than sleeping while in NYC anyway. The Doxie will probably be my go-to any time I come back!

I recently stayed at this hotel. At first the hotel seemed little from the outside but once you get in is very nice. Person at the check in desk was very nice. We arrived early so they stored our luggage so we could go explore. The elevator is really small but the rooms are spacious. We were 3 people in a 2 person bedroom but they offered an extra bed so we could be comfortable. Location is really good. You have restaurants nearby and also times square. The hotel was expensive but other than that i would definitely recommend it.

Hotel staff was super nice and accommodating! The room was nice and enjoyed the small building charm. The wifi isn’t great so don’t expect to rely on it for work and the bed is pretty hard. Overall a good experience and would stay there again! Checkout is at 12pm which was an added bonus on top of the incredible location with convenience to anything you can think of.

I was tempted to give a poor review, but that wouldn't be fair. The entrance and reception area are definitely down-market and can feel off-putting if you arrive at 01:30AM, as we did. The elevator is small but works, although the stairs feel a bit medieval. Hallways felt dingy. But the room was fine... Small but clean and well maintained. The A/C dealt with September weather and the decor was fine. Bathroom was big enough and fully functional. No view, the windows were dark and frosted. Location is superb. It felt really expensive, but this is Manhattan so deal with it. We stayed three nights and in the same circumstances I'd choose this hotel again. Set your expectations appropriately and this place is fine. Expect too much and you'll be disappointed. I saw a sign at reception offering Intrepid tickets for 5-star reviews.
