Eastin Tan Hotel Chiang Mai

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a packaged tour vacation in November 2023. Our room included breakfast Based on our stay would give it 4.5 stars but couldn't give it half a star so my rating shows as 4 star. Facility - Rooms - decent size clean rooms at the corner of a busy intersection across a shopping mall, night market and couple of bars around the hotel. It got noisy on one of the nights at about 9-10 pm. Facility - restaurants . T station restaurant serves meals but apart from breakfast (included in room rate) we did not eat any other meals in the restaurant. I do have to give credit to the interior decor as it was unique - based on railway stations. Breakfast buffet restaurant. The food was very good and they had decent choice of fresh healthy juices, fresh fruit, cereals, hot items, made-to order hot items, assorted pastries, breads teas and coffee. Since we were vegetarian, the chef (Tum) actually personally came out on 1st day and made us a special vegetarian hot item. It was the 1st and only hotel that actually catered to us for breakfast by providing a specially cooked hot item every day. Tum the chef went above and beyond our expectations as he cooked us a special local vegetarian dish every morning. Thank you very very much ("kap kun ka") Service - overall service was very good from front desk to breakfast buffet service. Front desk staff ( I think who we dealt were Bos and Pim) were very friendly and very engaging every day. On one day they even took some ice-cream I had bought and stored in the kitchen freezer for 3-4 hours. Much appreciated The breakfast service staff was very friendly and attentive As mentioned breakfast chef Tum was amazing as he made sure we were satisfied every day The only hiccup we had in service was when the room refrigerator did not work on day one and when we complained they initially said that was because we may have left the refrigerator door open. We told them we did not even open the door but still they did not fix it . Finally on second day they replaced it when we told them it was still not cold Location - apart from being at an intersection and near the shopping mall, it is a decent location as you can walk to quite a few places in Chiang Mai for massages or restaurants or shopping . We did that for a couple of hours on 2 days. If you are into eating at night markets, there is a night market right outside the hotel. Overall recommend this hotel especially for the amazing service I got. Again Thank You and much appreciated

Great location close to airport, shopping, dining and 20 walk to either old city or Chiangmai University (night market). The standard room is about good size, Mountain View gives me a refreshing moment after business work. I added breakfast for my stay. Good quality, less choice.
