The rooms are so small, and they have said in other review responses that this is one reason costs are low, however this wasn't exactly the cheapest of our accommodations on this holiday. We had two people with two large backpacks and there was only room to stow one pack. Creates a bit of a fire risk with lack of space to store anything. There is plenty of hallway space where the rooms could be extended, or perhaps made into communal lounges of some sort so people can sit, but it's just wasted space currently. People reading this may be thinking "but you're on holiday! You won't spend much time in your motel anyway!" Partially correct, and I thought the same when reading other reviews. However the room is so small, it still bothered us. Only one chair and had to use it for storage so all of our time was spent on the bed. The shower water keeps changing temperature which is dangerous. I have it at a nice temp and then suddenly it's scolding me. The pillows... They're barely pillows! Not great at all. The bathroom walls are glass with no sound insulation and you can make out the figure of who is in the bathroom. Fine if you're a couple like us, but be wary. The only saving grace for this motel is that there was wifi and it's close to public transport.

Last night we booked 2 rooms to spend the night at Rotterdam. The black lady with black tied hair and white male with long blonde hair and beard verbally abused us and told us to "*insulte* if we dont like the hotel" also adding that we should go to a "4 star hotel" after we asked to change rooms as they gave us à room with double beds instead of 2 single beds. The lady at the reception never specified the rooms were double bed rooms during the time of the booking. Up to this point everything was fine and we never thought anything of it as we understand mistakes like this can happen. What happened next was appalling and disgusting to say the least, which is why I now feel the need to come here and warn everyone. Never in my life have I had an experience like this at a hotel before with staff getting aggressive and verbally abusive at a mistake of their own!! After realising the rooms were double beds and one room had stained sheets we went down to reception and explained the story. The lady then gave us new rooms. The room she gave us had towels on the floor and the bed not made with the TV on, clearly hadn't been cleaned since the last stay, not to mention it had a double bed!!! We then went down with a video of the room and asked her why she had given us a uncleaned room with a double bed and she said she would again book us a new room and let out a laugh after we showd the video to her. The next room she gave us again wasn't cleaned from the last stay and smelt of cigarettes and yep you guessed right was a double bed!!! We then went back downstairs yet again to ask why she had done this and her colleague the male I have described above told us that if we dont like it we can " please *insulte* and go somewhere else". At this point we were shocked and requested a refund. I believe this was racially motivated and was done intentially to give us no option but to leave at this point. It was as if we were getting bullied around, basically forcing us to go up and down from room to room and back to reception with heavy luggage until we finally had enough. I hope future customers are not abused in this way and hope management sees this and deals with these 2 staff as they are bound to lose many more customers and of course money if they carry on treating future customers the way they treated us last night.
