We just got back from spending half term 2024 at this hotel with our two children, William and Freya ages 7 and 5. It is an amazing hotel. Really spacious, clean and with the most spectacular views of Sorrento. The service is above and beyond and Luigi and Francesca made us feel very welcome and took care of us. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

This hotel is excellent. Firstly to be clear it is adjacent to the town of Sorrento and is built on a cliff.. It is not easy to walk into town..... But.... The hotel offer a complimentary bus service that takes you to the centre of two hourly and returns... Its is about a 10 minute journey and this was never a. Problem for us in 10 days. The trade off though is without doubt the most impressive views of any hotel in Sorrento.. They are magnificent covering the sea, across the bay to Vesuvius, the town amd the hills behind. The restaurant and bars in some ways feel like the view from a high rise tower it is so impressive. I would say if you can afford to it is highly recommended to upgrade to a sea view room.. There are several rooms around the back which don't offer very good views though if course they can still be enjoyed from the bars, restaurant and pool areas. The service throughout the hotel was excellent... All staff struck a perfect balance between friendliness and professionalism. The food is excellent, particularly the evening 3 course set menu with plenty of choice to suit all palettes. Overall highly recommended

My husband and I recently stayed at the Grand Hotel President for a few days on our honeymoon. We had a fantastic time, the restaurant was great, the staff was friendly and the location was excellent. There is a shuttle that runs every hour almost all day that makes getting to the downtown a breeze even though the hotel is up on a hill about 10 minutes from the main strip. We loved this, we could relax at the hotel and the pool and enjoy the scenery but also had easy access to restaurants, beaches and shopping. Sorrento was a great jumping off point for us to see other parts of the coast, we did a day trip to Positano and Amalfi through a service recommended to us by the hotel which was perfect for us. The views from the room were amazing, we were happy to be away from the downtown for relaxation and to take in the property. We also ate dinner at the hotel one night and it was fantastic, only topped by a two person band who came around singing songs to each table. Could not recommend the Grand Hotel President enough and we can't wait to be back someday!
