Our 4-night stay was good, I wouldn't say "great" because we didn't interact or use the restaurants much. The king standard room is spacious, plenty of space for luggage. I like the firm bed and had good night sleeps. The bathroom was large as well with a tub, which helped a lot after a long day of walking. The gym was good, had all the machines you needed but there's no space for free-style work out. There is a classroom where if it's empty, you can use it for yoga or stretching. The floor in the classroom is very slippery, oily though. We may have just gotten a bad room but the room had a heavy cigarette smell despite it being a smoke-free hotel. We did request a room change but the other room wasn't any better so we ended up not moving to save ourselves the hassle. They were very apologetic about that. The room's ac was also not strong, even at its highest strength and coldest temp (15°C). It was warm the whole night...we mentioned this upon check out because we've been to other hotels in Asia and it doesn't get as cold as the ones in the US so didn't make a fuss about it. Like other reviewers, the property is older but I think it was fine in terms of decor, style and amenities. I'd recommend it, central location and plenty of restaurants around at an affordable price.

This Hilton takes a good care of Hilton fans. Breakfast is great, about 4,000 yen but included for Gold. Executive lounge is excellent, available for Diamond customers. Staff is very well trained, and their work shows how proud they are working at this fine establishment. Gym - I have never seen gym this nice for a hotel (easily the best by far out of 13 hotels I stayed this year). I stayed here for 12 days, 4 different occasions, and was never disappointed so far. Location is no issue if you are driving (parking is not bad but 3,000 yen per day), but if you are taking public transportation, it is a bit far (but certainly doable) from the JR Nagoya station. I recommend taking taxi from the station (1,000 yen or so).

Great location. Great service. But rooms are small, but in good repair. Bathroom design lacks brain. Much new technology they didn't use. Parking is good. But being American they are not the best of Japan.

Surrounded by a row of great restaurants and just a 5 minute walk to the subway. It is also fairly close to a coin laundry shop, if you need to freshen up clothes. The hotel staff were fantastic and went out of their way to make sure my wife & I were comfortable and taken care of. A shopping center is tucked in the basement if you want any luxury items and the hotel restaurants/bars have some pretty tasty items including a delicious fish & chips and soft-shell crab. I'd recommend staying at the Hilton Nagoya in a heart beat.

19th floor. It was our first time visiting Nagoya and we chose Hilton. I was highly impressed with the staff's level of service. Without any prompting, they went above and beyond to accommodate our family, providing thoughtful amenities for the kids, including slippers, a foam scrub, kids' toothbrushes, and an engaging activity sheet with crayons. Additionally, the staff's assistance in guiding us to the elevator and their offer to help with our car and luggage made us feel truly valued as guests. However, there were a couple of notable downsides to our stay. One major issue was the lack of an exhaust fan (or maybe there is but it’s obviously not working) in the bathroom. This resulted in excessive moisture buildup after just one person's shower, leaving the walls, vanity top, and floor super wet and the mirror heavily fogged. The bathroom appeared “worn and tired” after just a single shower. Furthermore, I encountered a hygiene concern when I found a long black hair strand caught in the collar of a folded kimono, which was quite off-putting. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of our stay was the sound insulation of the rooms. While I initially tolerated the faint conversations from the neighboring room, it became increasingly disruptive when the occupants began laughing, talking loudly, and eventually shouting. I had expected the walls to be soundproof, especially in a hotel of this caliber, but unfortunately, this was not the case. As a result, the hope for a peaceful and restful night's sleep after a long day went unfulfilled, I hope these issues can be addressed in the future to ensure a consistently enjoyable experience for all guests.
