This review is for the hotel room at Am Friedrichsbad. This hotel was underwhelming, and not a good value for the rate we paid. The room was not comfortable, the lighting was harsh fluorescent lighting, there was a weird narrow hallway to get into the bathroom which had a large plant in it that scratches you every time you walk past it to enter the bathroom. The room was not very clean, hairs on the bed sheets, dirty tabletops etc. The bathroom was not clean, there was toilet paper in the toilet when we arrived so it clearly had not been cleaned since the last guests. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. The staff was not particularly friendly or helpful. The only good thing about this hotel is it's proximity to the main strip and the Caracalla Spa. We ended up leaving after our first night even though we paid for 3 - we found a good deal with Boutique Charme Apartments down the block, and it was well worth the change!

Nice, very quaint and very quiet hotel with an excellent location in Baden-Baden. Walkable to all Black Forest hikes or to any other attraction in Baden-Baden. Excellent staff, rooms comfortable and food more than adequate. A real steal for the price!!

We were insulted at check-in. If we are from Ukraine, and we spend our hard earned money, and do not sit on the Polish neck in Germany (as the bull at the reception does), it does not mean that we should be told to go to our home! I encounter such an attitude in the first time, although I have traveled all over Europe. I do not recommend it to anyone!

This hotel is exceptionally well placed for the centre of Baden-Baden especially if you want to use the thermal spa. It looks a little dated from outside but the rooms are superb with plenty of little touches, ie a small Christmas tree in the room. Breakfast is great with eggs freshly cooked to your choice and the coffeemakers my taste buds so what morecoukd I ask. Thank you to the staff
