Location in Lido very nice. 5 minute walk from dock. Everything is aged in hotel. Staff service drove rating ,we had to open a bathroom window after a shower (no fans, OK it is an older building) and 3 wasps fly in (no screens?) We were able to close the bathroom door and contain them but use of the bathroom was out of the question. Tried shutting off lights and hoping they would voluntarily leave, they didn't. Talked to Hotel concierge and he politely said he was only one there and we would need to wait until his boss arrived at 0700. when his Boss arrived.. At 0700 new concierge arrived but couldn't do anything until maid arrived at 0800. There was another couple at desk with 10 wasps in their bathroom. They got a similar response except it would be 1000 before anyone could help. Asked for use of another room, sheepish shrug from concierge, none available. The other couple was granted a room to take a shower?? (Must have not met the wasp threshold) I would speculate this is not the first time this has occurred and this is stock response by the staff. Again as always they were polite but didn't take concern seriously which says a lot about their true service attitude.

Charming hotel located centrally on Lido, which will put you close to restaurants, a calm sandy beach, and the public transit to other islands. Yes, you read that right. Would have never thought of a "sandy beach" when someone mentions visiting Venice, but Lido has a calm beachfront that we were able to easily walk to from our hotel and enjoy. The last night there, we grabbed some wine, meats, cheeses, and bread from the nearby grocery store and spent the evening relaxing near the sand.

Very spacious rooms with the Italian vintage decor. Staff very friendly. It’s 8 min walk from the ferry (it takes around 15-20 mins to get to St Marco square and the ferries are frequent, around every 10-15 mins). It costs 10EURO one way. The only thing I didn’t like is that there is no heating in the rooms. I visited in October and it’a chilly. Overall quiet, so you can sleep peacefully.

When a hotel does everything right, it just shines. This is my fourth trip to Venice and my stay at the Hotel Biasutti was, by far, the very best. The front desk, staff went out of their way to make my stay very welcome and accommodating. the room was clean, quiet and secure. Time after time, Christina was particularly helpful. I must say that the most special part of my six day stay was the bed. The mattress, made in Italy was the most amazingly comfortable I have every slept upon. Anywhere! I have tried to find out from the manufacturer if I might be able to purchase one for myself. If there is one thing that could be improved upon, the newly renovated room needs a shower curtain. I will return again to the Hotel Biasutti.

I have Never experienced such a horrible bed in any hotel anywhere. Hard as a rock - it hurt to sleep. We asked the front desk if they had any top mattress cover to make it softer but they said only for king size beds. I have not rested at all - I wish we could’ve changed hotels but we were with a biking group so not an option. I will be so glad to bike on from this hotel and maybe get rested! The breakfast people were wonderful and the breakfast good.
