Hotel Casa Imperial

Astounding is the only word that comes to mind if I have to describe this hotel. It is a majestic hotel with historic architecture- the Andalusian style patios and courtyards which are just wow. The fountain at the centre of the second courtyard is relaxing. The hotel overall has a pretty cool vibe which in itself relaxes you and takes you back in the old times when the world wasn’t so chaotic and busy. The furniture aptly matches the architecture especially their chairs and mosaic patterned small centre tables. The detailing in the furnishings is commendable. We stayed in a room for 4 people in room 2. It was a beautiful room starting with a small room at the entrance that had an electric kettle, cutlery, cups and plates. There was also a small basin. They gave complimentary water bottles on the first day and on other days they charged for bottled water. There were no complimentary tea bags/ coffee or other complimentary drinks. The second floor housed two separate rooms ; one of which had a large double bed and the other had two single beds. Every room had cupboards and was well furnished. They also had old photo frames with description of events in the room which added to the antique vibe. The rooms had a central heating arrangement The cons was that it had only 1 bathroom which was inconvenient for 4 of us to get ready on time. The bathroom was super clean and had both hot and cold water. The bathroom fittings were antique and beautiful. They replenished the supply of shower caps everyday. They also provided sewing kits. The hotel had a library of books in the passage which we read at leisure. Lastly the reception area is cozy and the staff is super helpful and polite. They guided us with a map on the areas to visit near the hotel and other iconic landmarks. She also gave us a map of Seville and marked those places for us. The location of the hotel is a 5 stars. Walkable distance from the iconic places of historic importance. The staff also helps with the taxi bookings. The hotel has a good WiFi connection. Overall a recommended place to stay when in Seville.
