The bad: My rooms were unbearably hot (like a sauna) in November, and there was no way to control the temperature. We alerted staff, but a solution was never found. The only way I could sleep was with all the windows wide open. In late November. The good: Alfred, the bartender, is a national treasure. The staff are kind and accommodating, the breakfast is overall quite good and the hotel is well-located.

These reviews are a scam. Do not fall for this hotel. These reviews cannot be real. We paid close to $300 for the night only to find out the air conditioning didn't work (and nothing they could do). The internet was poor (and nothing they can do). The rooms are very dated. They nickel and dime you. The $300 per night doesn't cover parking and it doesn't cover breakfast. For $300 a night, you might as well stay at a hotel with a better track record.

There was no heating and I got sick. It is a disaster to come there in November. The big Windows of a Deluxe room and a Windows not closing properly made the temperature of idk - 16-17 Celsius degrees. Normally, in the 4 star hotel anywhere in the world (even in Italy) they set the temperature in the BMS (building management system) even remotely(!), but the receptionist had 3 quick answers: 1. He cannot do nothing to let the airconditioner heat up the room. 2. It is not that cold outside (it was 7-8 Celsius degrees during the night). 3. He offered us blankets (sic!) and repeated that at least 3 times, as if it was any help. The water in the room was muddy 50% of the time. Good luck with the bath. Or maybe that was whisky? Only the location and a breakfast increases my rating a little bit. Although there are only 3 warm propositions (scrambled eggs and sausages) and coffee is not that great (Jacobs machine), they had gluten free propositions and plant milk (almond and soia). Our stay costed 165 euro per night. For that price you have to keep standards. Now I would give them the tip, they received at the beginning.

We chose to stay here during our trip to Bologna because we liked how the room and washroom looked. We were not disappointed! The room was tidy and fairly spacious considering the price point. I appreciated that the room had a big desk and mirror and that the bathroom had lots of counter space. The room service and breakfast selection was also quite good. Was impressed with the service. During our stay there we were helped by a friendly reception lady who spoke very good English. I cannot recall her name, but she had short blonde hair and eyeglasses. Compliments to her as well as the man who brought the room service and the two lovely older ladies from the cleaning staff. The staff passing by at breakfast were also friendly. The one small criticism I would have is that— the beds are very hard. A bit uncomfortably so, but I wouldn’t rate the trip down just for that. With regard to location— it’s very convenient. Close to several museums, the basilica di san petronio, the towers, the shopping plaza. Was about a 20minute taxi ride to the top of the santuario madonna di san luca. Highly recommended if you find yourself passing through Bologna.
