Very convenient location. You can easily find tram 3 or bus 10 very near and at very high frequency to Bern station ( just 3-4 stops away). Bus Tram Services remain available till very late night. Or u can even walk 15-20 minutes. Coop store very near by. Many Indian restaurants or pizza shops just at walking distance. Staff is well versed in English. They are very polite and always ready to take ur request. We got hot water kettle at request. They have one place to iron ur clothes. Outside there is one water outlet where u can fill water bottle. They have a nice small area where u can sit outside.

Hotel La Pergola in Bern is well-located, making it convenient for exploring the city's attractions. However, guests should be aware that the rooms are quite small, and the absence of air conditioning can be uncomfortable during hot summer months. On a positive note, the staff is exceptionally friendly, providing a welcoming atmosphere for visitors.

This hotel is exceptionally clean, with well-organized and secure small rooms. It is conveniently located and easily accessible by trams and buses. The staff is highly professional and proficient in English. Guests can enjoy a fresh breakfast during their stay.

WORST Hotel IN BERN (La Pergola) During my recent stay at Hotel La Pergola in Bern, I had an extremely disappointing experience. I would go so far as to say that this hotel is worse than a hostel. The rooms felt cramped and resembled prison cells, with outdated furnishings and amenities. The overall condition of the hotel left much to be desired. To make matters worse, the breakfast offered at the hotel did not look appealing at all, so my companions and I opted to have our morning meal elsewhere. Considering the high price (150CHF) we paid for our stay (a common occurrence in Switzerland), it was disheartening to receive such subpar accommodations. The hotel industry in Switzerland needs to step up its game if it expects to charge exorbitant prices like this. It's important to note that in addition to the already expensive room rate (excluding breakfast), Hotel La Pergola charges an ADDITIONAL 21 CHF as a "tax" when you check out. This unexpected expense further compounded our dissatisfaction with the hotel. Another aspect that misled us was the green pictures displayed on Google. While there might be some greenery in the surrounding area, the hotel itself does not possess the same ambiance as depicted online. This misrepresentation added to our disappointment upon arrival. However, I must admit that the hotel's location was the only redeeming feature. It was conveniently situated, allowing easy access to various attractions in Bern. In conclusion, my experience at Hotel La Pergola was far from satisfactory. The rooms were akin to prison cells, the overall condition of the hotel was disappointing, and the breakfast was unappetizing. Considering the high prices charged and additional unexpected fees, I strongly advise travelers to be cautious when considering this hotel for their stay in Bern. I suggest you change your prices to hostel prices as this was just horrific.
