Two day stay in Venice and this was a beautiful hotel. Excellent service and breakfast as well. Very handy to drop off by water after arriving from the airport. Only reason for 4/5 for location is that it was very busy right in front of the hotel all day, and quite noisy outside the windows, late into the evening.

The hotel is in a great location & staff was ok, The bedding was and old blanket with a sheet over it for a bedspread and the shower looked like they removed it from an RV and stick it in the room. We discovered quickly that The A/C was broken in our room (and several other rooms prior to our arrival) and they did not have the courtesy to let us know. They distributed any fans they had to others but “didn’t have anymore”. They advised they hoped it would be fixed by 3 pm the next day. We had to open the windows and were eaten alive by mosquitoes. Miserable experience to say the least. No compensation, no apology, won’t ever stay here again.

When you sleep here, you sleep in a piece of history. Service was great - they helped us with our travel questions as well and helped us book private water taxi on our departure. I appreciated the complimentary champagne bottle on my birthday as well. Thankyou for a great experience.
