As of January 1st 2011, the Municipal Council of Rome has introduced a room occupancy tax in the amount of maximum EUR 3.00 per person per night – applicable for maximum 10 days. Starting from September 1st, 2014 the amount has been increased up to EUR 7.00 per person per night (depending on the accommodation type and star rating). Children under the age of 10 years are exempt from payment. The fee will be asked of anyone staying in overnight accommodation inside Rome’s boundaries at the end of each stay. My sister booked this hotel because it's so close to Roma Termini. The room itself is very tiny and it is very noisy. I can literally hear the staff make their coffee in the wee hours of the morning. If you are staying in the rooms, close to the reception area, watch out because you'll hear everything- including conversations at the front desk. The staff is excellent. Cleanliness is as expected. Breakfast is okay. *John is the kindest staff ever!*

Great location just minutes from central station which was a bonus for us arriving by train. Hotel is on the 5th floor and a small lift is available. Staff are friendly and helpful. We was able to leave our luggage before checking in, so we could make the most of our time in Rome. Bag was taken to our room when we returned. The room was bigger enough for the 4 of us, Very spacious. The room was spotlessly clean and quiet at night time. Breakfast was a typical Italian breakfast. hot drink, croissant and juice. We had a excellent stay here I would highly recommend.

The room is clean and quite. Location is great. The gentleman serving breakfast is super friendly even he speaks little english. It seems hot water is not available for 24 hours in the bathroom. One the day i arrived the lift was broken. The check in office is on the fifth floor. A kind young man helped me to carry my luggage up. From earlier comment, the lift is out of order frequently. Be aware.

The hotel was excellent value for our trip in Rome back in June. The front desk reps and the lady prepping breakfast were very nice on every occasion. We planned to be out most the days so we looked for a nice budget hotel to rest overnight. The location of the hotel was excellent within minutes walk to the train station. There are plenty of food options near by and walkable to the Colosseum. The cozy room was clean and had everything we needed. They provided a simple breakfast, croissants and cappuccinos, and brings it to our door in the morning. The elevator was small and took it's time but useful as the hotel is on the 5th floor. Highly recommended!

Hey, this is a clean, convenient hotel nearby the metro bus train station and local major points of interest! The rooms are small BUT clean 👍 The staff is incredibly helpful and the price is right. I value human qualities before judging hard and comparing. Hotel Marcantinio was perfect for us. It has lots of restaurants around, shops and activities nearby. The receptionist was amazing, give her a smile, she'll brighten your day and will be super helpful during your stay.
