We had reserved a room with a free cancellation option until November 22nd. However, due to a strike by airport employees in Bologna, our flights were canceled, and we were informed of this on the afternoon of November 23rd. Despite promptly notifying the hotel, we were met with a lack of understanding. We were advised to make our way to the hotel somehow, without any consideration for the unforeseen circumstances. Regrettably, neither Booking nor the hotel showed any willingness to provide a refund or allow a reservation change to address our situation. Given the hotel's unsympathetic response to this unforeseeable and uncontrollable issue, we cannot recommend the establishment. It is essential for anyone to be aware that, even in such unexpected situations, the hotel may not offer a resolution and understanding.

Hotel San Giorgio is in a central and atmospheric location Staff were friendly and helpful. There's a nice outdoor space for breakfast. Rooms are clean though small and basic. Overall relatively good value!

Hotel San Giorgio is a basic hotel tho being located within the "circle" makes it worth staying at. 5-10 min walk to pretty much everything, including train and bus stations. Rooms aren't really up to date and a minibar would be a great addition. Overall we enjoyed staying here and would recommend. Ps. Do not overstay in Bologna, 2 days tops.

Big thank you to Leo at the front Desk being very motivated and nice to make the stay very pleasant! the Hotel is very clean especially the rooms! This was very important to me! The room is easily big enough for one person. You can hear a lot of things going on in the other rooms but I think that’s so typical in Italian hotels downtown. Price value was great and location also! One thing I have to add and sadly could have destroyed the stay if I didn’t have my own mobile data, the wifi was horrible in my room…
