We were put up in the newest room on the ground floor with our own private entrance. Everything very comfortable and modern and newly decorated. Nice large, comfy bed and comfortable rooms. Staff were all very friendly and helpful too. Did not eat in the restaurant however so cannot comment on the quality. Hotel is situated about a 20 minute walk from the centre and the Rhine tower.

I would’ve rated 1* but 2* because: 1. no pillow choice, asked for extra pillow, nothing showed up. 2. curtains in the room do not close (there’s a tablet on the wall that you manage lights curtains etc) 3. During breakfast I made 2 sandwiches to get up to my room and the waiter or don’t know who it was from their staff - very strictly forbidden me to take them upstairs and demanded that if I wanted I can just eat them there like I’m some kind of a kid. I don’t mind the policy, it’s just that the way that this was handled was completely unprofessional. 4. Elevator broke down twice whilst our visits (3 nights) and our room was on the 6th! 1 extra star goes for the interior design, room size and hotel location.

This hotel is ideally situated, only a 5 minute walk from the main train station. Easy walking around the city as all roads ect are flat. Tram system is easy to use and frequent. The hotel is very clean and from the minute we arrived the staff were very helpful. We had a room at the rear of the hotel on 5th floor and there was no road noise at all. Beds were comfortable and shower was good. No complaints at all, would stay here again.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Stadt München, and would stay here again in a heartbeat! Staff was super friendly and had no problem speaking English with me. My room was very clean upon arrival. While it may look small, the layout is smart and there is plenty of room. House keeping did a great job when cleaning the room while I was gone (ignore the messy bed I left in the picture.) Being able to control the lights and shades from the bed made things super convenient. The bathroom was immaculate and beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better pace to stay for my first time in Germany. Even the location was perfect. It was a short walk from the central station, and there were plenty of places within walking distance to suit all of my needs. Thank you Hotel Stadt München!
